Yea I wasn't too worried about the heat going out the window. Worried more about smell but I have a carbon filter and new fan on the way. The seeds are germinated and now planted.

I was thinking about that too. i was thinking about using an empty closet I have. I am not really worried if the smell stinks up my room or house. I just dont want the smell getting outside of the house. I usually dont have any company over. Does the smell get really strong? Like I said I have never grown to harvest, only smoke.

An empty closet wont work unless you have a carbon filter and fan in there also. I cant even begin to describe how much smell there is during harvest. Its not only the plants out of the room but constantly being adjutated from handling during trimming. You will not conceal the smell in a town house without having a carbon filter running in the area you are working in.
I have a 8x4 with 1200w running in a room that is 10x6. The only way i can control smell is to harvest in that room completly. I can't pull plants out or my whole house smells, both floors. If you are running all the same strain you could harvest inside of your tent. If you are running a veg area you will need to keep an eye on the smell. My veg stinks up the second floor of my house.
But dont panic you will have plenty of time to build up equipment. But you will need to figure out something for harvest, and that equipment can be put towards a veg area in the future. So its a win/win.

UPDATE: See pics. All broke through the soil on 4/1. One died....it got stuck I guess and the top broke off from the stem.

What do you guys do in the UK to mask? Just vent it down to the basement or something?

Not sure what they do over there but I am just venting into the room and bringing fresh air from outside with another fan. Temps are running 75-85 depending on outside temp and whether or not the ac is running. Working out so far....

Dont worry about a helicopter man now no goverment agency is going to waste there time tryin to bust u for a grow tent.
