Comments or Suggestions for My First 200 Watt CFL grow

Hey everyone!!! So Acid's hairs are starting to turn orange now! Strawberry haze is starting to develop some coloration as well. Will I really need to invest in a microscope to tell when my plants are ready to harvest or am I fine without one? I KNOW haze will take longer to flower than the acid will. And I have an idea of when Acid should be ready because I have been doing some research on average time. IF it will really help the overall potency to pick them by scope, I would invest in one. Thanks!

Hey people!
Does anybody have any theories as to trimming fan leaves is good or bad? I feel like I should probably trim a few of them, but I know that they store necessary nutrients for the plant and I don't know whether the light or those nutrients are more important . I hope I get a decent yield on these little guys! We'll see! Stay smokin'!

P.S. Thanks calicatt! I think she'll be alright too! Acid's got a few different colored hairs now! I think she's starting to turn! I'll post more pics for ya when I see some more hairs start turnin' colors!

I've always been taught to only trim if they are dead....or just don't even trim at all and let em die off themselves.
I've also heard it's OK to cut a few fans if they aren't getting any light.
Anytime you cut anything off your plant it needs time to recover. It's all a matter of personal preference I think....cut a few if you want, or don't.....no big deal

Your fine without one....you'll know when they are ripe. Just wait till all those hairs are curled in and the white ones stop popping up! Do you have macro mode on your camera?

Took some pics of the hairs turnin colors! The oranger top cola is Strawberry Haze, the larger cola and bigger side nugz is Acid by Paradise seeds. I'm really stoked on Acid! Growin like a beast! I'm a little disappointed with Strawberry, the nugs are really dense, but its not going to yield much at all because there is too much foliage blocking bud sites. I think I'm too late to do too much more trimming though. Acids branches are all spread out and loving it, though!

Thanks man! Appreciate it! And yes they were photo plants. I started em with 24 hours of light for the first week then moved to 20-4 which it remained at until I started 12-12 at a month and a week. I am supposed to be harvesting around May 5th or so. The other two plants are my friends. He's got a Mako Haze and a Double White going. Been havin a few spider mite issues, but other than that I can't complain! It's been a sweet grow!

Just bought some ladybugs for the spider mite issue on my plants. Those things are STRAIGHT MUNCHING!!! I also put a small layer of neem oil on the top of the soil w/ the sprayer and watered my plants so maybe they will absorb a little of the oil and generally deter the mites or kill them and I have been spraying all the fan leaves. I am cutting all nutrients to the plants and letting nature do her work from here to the end! Straight Agua and Soil from here!

Hey! Soooo its comin down to it! I'm startin to get antsy! I wannit now!!! haha. JK. But these nugs are startin to look tasty. I have officially cut all nutrients and am letting nature do the rest of the work. Acid has 2 weeks left and I haven't decided whether or not to chop strawberry at the same time. My friend took down the reflective cover on the cfl. His plant is really tall and infested with spider mites and he's convinced they are hanging out at the top because of the heat provided by the reflective material there. I think the plants will still finsh fine as they had the majority of the time with condensed light. Somebody tell me if they think differently! . . Smokin' on some delivery service Boonana and San Fransisco OG. WOW. impressive. And friend's strawberry cough. And my headband. Hopefully I'll have enough to last me to harvest! I can tell I'm going to smoke this bud too fast already haha...I guess its about time to plant some autos!

they sure are getting close balla....they look so yummy and smelly. You'll be fine without the reflector till harvest.
I wish I had some of what your smokin...sounds fabulous Can't wait to see your harvest!!!! I'm so happy for you....and your friend too. That was awfully nice of you to let his infested plant share the same space as your babies! Acid looks AMAZING!!!!

P.s. that was a drunk message. Hope you couldn't tell! The copolas took my qp of flowers and I was in the process of obtaining a medical card. Luckily it's only a possession charge, but shit. FUCKED UP. TTRYNA STAY UP. ALREADY have anxiety, hate class settings, family history of depression and migraines. DON't need the cops takin' my medicine. Must be my karma or something. .

Unfortunatly I am as far away from CA as you can be...i'm in VT, but I do have a caregivers card so I can help my Dad...and myself. I suffer from depression and anxiety as well, and also have a family history of bi-polar. The sweet MJ helps me in so many ways, but they won't give me a patient card for it out here. So I grow for my bestie Fedora for his chronic pain due to vericoseal, and my Dad is going through the chit with his liver cancer. We can only hope that someday our government wakes the fuck up and realizes how beneficial MJ can be for people like us. When I'm feeling down, I just roll myself a nice spliff and "poof" feel so much better and I'm able to deal with all the BS in this world much better when I am liffted

Can't wait till your babies are done....we will have to have a virtual smoke together Hang in there buddy....there's nothing better than smokin on your own killer chit!!!

Na, I haven't! But now that you mention it, I may have to! Do you think it would taste alright at this stage w/ those nutrients cut out? Maybe I'll take a nuggie in a few days when I have flushed out the soil a little better. Don't want any chemmy taste! And I'm always down for a smoke! Agreed about the usefulness of MJ as well. I get to the point where I am stressing out about little things I haven't done all day and just the thinking and stressing puts a toll on my body. MJ is the only thing I've found that eases my anxiety and prevents migraines. Funny how MJ can provide so much relief from pain for so many conditions, yet it is STILL criminal. I can't WAIT to smoke on some of this Acid and Strawberry though! I'll take a fat rip and blow it in enforcement's faces and STILL salute the American flag. If a law ain't right, you shouldn't follow it. We have the right to pursue happiness, right?! I'm damn happy when I'm stoned. Time to push for legalization!

Just took a hit of the Acid and am literally barelly keeping my eyes open to write this.....holy f*&k!!! It's not even cured yet and it tasted alright. Only second day of drying. But they are airy buds and I'm having troubles telling when I should move to a jar. I'm so hiyeee my eyes are redder than cigarette tips. biyeeeeee

Nice yeild and grow man! I would say throw into the jars when they are actually dry meaning the stems are easy to break and/or right when they are still bendable but you hear a snap.

ROFL....that is awesome balla I knew she would be some killa killa.... you wanna really slow dry them...at least for 1 week, you don't want them drying out too fast, so no fans unless it gets hot k?
When they feel dry to the touch on the outside but the center when pressed still has a little spongey feel, you wanna put them in their jars. Then burp whenever you want....no less than 2x's a day
Gonna get even better with the cure. It's like they are alive in their jars....changing and reacting

DAnnng! Well I just threw both of the ladies into jars today! After trimming and some eyeball guestimation, I'd say I got about an ounce or 3/4 o off of acid and about 5 grams off of strawberry haze. Strawberry is a failure ... but im still smokin it!!! hahaha I opened the strawberry up today to smell it at about 8 hrs of being in the jar, smellin delicious already and not too wet or anything, so I think I dried it out well enough! I DID use a fan ahhhh! why is that bad? it dried quicker and no sun hit it, am I doomed? acid and strawberry's stems were both snappable.
