Totalitarianism Marches On ....

I don't think there is anything wrong at all with judicial review. That's what the judges jobs are ... to review the constitutionality of the laws passed by the legislature.

I am NOT happy that the federal courts have legislated from the bench. When the Supreme Court legislates, instead of just ruling on constitutionality of our laws, we revert back to a dictatorship run by nine politically appointed men and women who rule our lives. That's taxation without representation.

Med sez ...

"Vi, I'm pretty sure any 3rd grader could define income. I'm pretty sure everyone knows what income is."

I know you went further than the 3rd grade, Med ... so how about you defining it as it appears in the IRS code? Here's a heads up for you; If you can find where the term "income" is defined in the IRS Code, I'll point you in the direction of those who have standing offers to pay you a VERY substantial sum for the information.

Vi
Why would anyone try and define something that is so obvious to everyone but you. Keep up with the nonsense, I see it makes you happy. Income is taxable and labor is defined as an income source, thus you are able to be taxed legally on your labor. Go ahead and make a case. stop paying taxes on your "Labor", and wait for the results. BTW, taxes have been levied on the populace for hundreds of years, there is nothing new here. If you want to live in a society, you must pay for the conditions. I'll agree that there are way too many wasteful spendings, example: the fucking Iraq war.

Yep, I didn't think you could find where income is defined in the IRS Code. Look, the law is very well defined in all other areas. Why not in the IRS Code?

You may think that our slave tax system is just, but I don't.

Again, your clutching at straws. A defined word needs no further defining. Take the word THE, would you suppose it should be defined in the IRS code. Income is a very common word and everyone, including the IRS, knows the meaning. I have defined it for you and you still don't get it. If needed, dont you think the IRS would define it, who's to stop them. Income: a quanity of
"money" coming to you through your labor, property, or other sources. I think I'll write the IRS and ask them to define it for you, or maybe you could just take a vocabulary class.

Med ...

I know you won't take the time to read this, because as usual, your opinions are set in stone. But ... for everyone else who is interested in preserving liberty, I suggest that you read these court opinions on how to define the term "income," and how it relates to our taxing authorities and law:

Hope you find it interesting.

So what in your opinion would a just tax system look like at the federal, state and local levels? Only tax capital gains, sales of goods and services, etc.?

After reading all that boring gibberish I came to the crux of the article:

Note: The information on this page is provided for educational use only. I am not an attorney and do not give legal advice.

So pretty much that is all bullshit and income is still as defined in Merriam-Webster. Nice try though, and yeah I read it all, still clutching at straws.

In a truly free society there would be no tax on capital, labor or production. The only tax free men should allow are tariffs, duties and excise taxes. That's on the federal level. So, a simple federal sales tax on purchases of NEW products would meet that standard. There would be no corporate tax. With no corporate tax, the U.S. would be a tax haven for corporations throughout the world. Foreign corporations would be moving their businesses AND jobs off-shore TO THE UNITED STATES. No capital gains tax either. With no capital gains tax, we would be awash in foreign money and investments. Our economy would boom like never before and the dollar would again be king ... truly a land of milk and honey.

As far as the states go, they should be allowed to tax as they see fit. As one state, California for example, raises taxes beyond the capacity or willingness of the citizens to pay, the citizens would have the choice of staying or moving to another, more tax friendly state.

Yeah right. I'm getting pretty tired of your boring ass translations. Pick the huge head out of your ass and read what the fuck income means then shut the fuck up about translations. Translation, you are a stubborn ignorant asshole.

Damn, you'e right. I acted as if I were choosing a category. Well, I've been nursing quite a few bottles of wine tonight. All's fair in love and merlot. :peace:

Is this the level of your debating skills? ....

"Na na na na na na," "you ignorant slut." "Take that Mr. ViHole."

Your words speak volumns about your "level." I'd say your debating skills are at the kindergarden/playground level.
