the local police here are trained to shoot at the chest and fire three shots.
cops are becoming trigger happy. shooting people over marijuana raids, and wrong house raids

They just want a reason to shoot their fucking guns. One day I was walking home and thought I saw a cop at my house. At first I was going to turn around, then I realized that he was at my neighbors and he pulled out his gun. He was getting ready to shoot his dog which was a mean mutt. I started yelling and told him "hey, don't shoot that fucking dog. He is in his own yard." He said he needed to talk to the homeowner. The guy worked nights and was asleep. I told the pig to wait while I got the guy up. He tried to be ballsy and follow me in the yard and almost got his ass ate up. I was a total smartass to that cop and was loving it....

In fact, if you're in a situation where someone breaks into your home and you live in an area where you're allowed to defend your home.. and use lethal force when you feel your life threatened.. You may still have to show or prove you weren't intentionally trying to kill them, only stop them. However, if they live, they will sue you and probably take everything you have. Its better to presume this might happen, than to presume it won't. Following that line of thinking... you can connect the dots yourself.

A few bad cops doesn't make them all bad. There are still a lot of good people out there. The real problem is that its the laws that empower them to justify shooting a dog, as mentioned above. The lawyers push for more laws because it makes them more money, and it makes for more lawyers. A make-work situation. And you are forced to hire lawyers because they created a virtual language that only they know, and not knowing it without one will be like plea-bargaining for a worse offense than one committed. Money money money. Its kinda like doctors handwriting, you have to be a doctor to be able to read it. Its got nothing to do with knowing what it means, because if you could read "sarcoidosis" then you can read about it yourself. If you ever got your hands on your doctors file on you, which you're not allowed to see (hrmm...), you wouldn't be able to read anything off of it to figure out what it says! Its like gibberish. I'm pretty sure there is a handwriting class somewhere along the way, right before you buy your doctorate, that indoctrinates your writing style. Another make-work club.

there is no disarming a person with bullets. cops are trained to shoot at the ten ring which is center mass of the chest. reason being cops are liable for any bullet fired. if they shoot at ur legs to stop u the bullet goes thru that persons leg and tags a kid in the chest or if they miss the persons leg and it hit someone else. the officers are and can be held criminally liable for any bullet that doesnt find its target. plus its harder than u think to hit even a man sized target in the chest 10 out of ten times when ur adrenalin is pumping at 30 ft. especially if that target is moving let alone 3 shots. if u had a gun and were legally aloud to use it wouldnt u if u were afraid for ur life or the lives of others. granted some r not very bright.

the problem is not the officers its the department and where they receive their actually training thats lacking. but yeah i agree some cops are just dicks. but if they didnt have to deal with people giving them a hard time all day for doing their job do u think they would be dicks at the end of the day? cuz i highly doubt most of them are assholes right from the start. if u r respectful and civil with most officers they will be the same way back.

also disarming is done with less lethal ammunition or batons or sprays. but they have to be readily available when needed. if u have a guy with a knife in ur sights already r u going to tell him to wait while u go to the car to get the bean bag shotgun?

Hey, I agree that they(coppers) are empowered to kill so when they feel any threat they do what they are trained to do which is kill. They have the authority to do almost anything and get away with it which is what makes them dangerous. They are human and have a split second to decide how to diffuse situations which is easily done with a gun unfortunately for anyone on the other end. Ive had a cop pull a gun while approaching my car when I was in plain view chillin with my girl. Perception makes anyone with a gun very dangerous as they might see something that is not really there guess what. I learned to keep my hands in plain site and not to move my shoulders from the bullsit and I don't even have a criminal record. Guns are meant for one purpose only and as Deniro said ' most people respect the badge but everyone respects the gun'...at least almost everyone does.

and they arent trained to kill. they are trained to stop the advancing threat. if one bullet doesnt do it then it may take two or three. they are not supposed to fire more than one shot at a person at a time unless they or someone else is in imminent danger. and it only takes a split second to tell if that first one is going to do the job. so if they hit someone in the chest and they drop the gun and they hit him again with another round they r in deep shit. like locked up deep shit. not oh i got fired and lost my job shit. like fuck im stuck in a cement box for years type of shit.

I work with this lady who lives in one of the tough neighborhoods in Phoenix. The cops shot a guy in her neighborhood. The dude had a pistol in his hand when a cop shot him with a 12 guage. He was standing agains a redwood fence when the shot hit him in the chest - the force of the impact blew him thru the fence boards just like on t.v.

I once saw a guy get shot by two guys with an AK47 and a 9mm - he got shot 20-30 times. The impact of the bullets kept him standing up and jiggling and jerking - it was really freaky to see.

its becuz the shotgun has a shit ton of force behind it. i have a 50 cal that is like throwing a volkwagon bug at someone at a 100 yards thats the size of ur index finger. it blows holes thru anything i shoot at including 3/4" inch steel. havent had a chance to shoot anything thicker yet. and the ak and 9. well it just depends on the rate of fire. it may have seamed like forever but an ak can empty a whole 30 round mag in a little over 2 seconds on full auto if its well takin care of. i can empty a full mag of 9 out of my xd in about 3 seconds. also a semi auto gun will generally shoot as fast as u can pull the trigger if not faster.

I dont buy it. The 'impact' of bullets doesnt keep people standing. It drops them. If one or two 7.62's don't drop them, you did it wrong.

i had a buddy get hit with 3 ak round in afganistan and was still standing till he figured out what had happened. an fmj 7.62 will go thru u like butter even with body armor on. 9mm not so much. not a ton of force behind a 9. thats why i use my .45 for home defence. it only takes 1 with a .45. even with a vest on it still has the chance to put u on ur ass.

i agree. that many rounds and he would have been on the floor. and yes adrenalin is a huge factor. was army stationed out of fort sill. i was 13bravo which was artillery at the time. not really sure anymore with all the changes being made to all the m.o.s.'s. i could have chosen different but i really wanted to blow shit up. i remember in boot camp we got to blow up a school bus with 3 155s and it was fuckin amazing. the most none lethal devastation ive ever seen in one place at one time. lmao.
