maybe a little nitrogen later into the cycle would have helped, until early to mid august. iron does wonders for greening up plants too, i use it on my citrus meyeri after a winter of rain leeches out the nitrogen in the soil. i did my rookie grow last year and had some yellow fan leaves, but the material around the bud was just fine and i have the pics to prove it.

The pic on my avatar is one of the original skunk strains, the quality of the pic is not the best, it's a digital photo of an old Polaroid I still have.
Like I said, those buds were a couple of weeks before finish (October), the last thing I would do is give them nitrogen my friend. You do as you please with your plants, but before you get cocky and start handing out advice, I suggest you know what you're talking about first. If you want to debate politics, I'm down, but let's leave the growing for another day.

Dude, you need to quit while you're ahead, any decent grower could tell that the buds in that old pic were pretty much close to finish!
Again, you don't want to give nitrogen later in the cycle, late cycle refers to flowering my friend. Some people like to give doses of N at transition, but I've never ran across an accomplished grower giving more nitrogen later on. And when it came to basic use of fertilizers and breeding strains, back in 1983 it was no secret to good growers, in fact, outdoor growing hasn't really changed that much in the last 30 years. I'm never one to self promote or brag about my experience in cannabis, but when someone gets cocky and pisses me off with BS information, I'll let them know about it.
You can rag on me all you want about my politics, we both have different ideals, but leave the growing out of it.
It's obvious you could use some help on your cultivation practices, so I'll give you some good advice. Leave your attitude in your pocket bro, you'll get much farther.
