My room has been crazy hot the last couple days. I may need to hook up that Ac unit.
either that or take the veg box i have out of the room, it seems to keep it pretty warm in there since the t5 is on 24hrs a day

hehehe ..... macg hooked me up with a few Malawi Gold and a Mulanje Gold (Holy Smoke Seeds), both pure african landrace sativas that i've been craving to breed with. i'm hoping for a boy of each :)

chef .... of course you get some bro, you are the sperm donor and need to see your children ;)
EC - How'd you like to coordinate on that breeding project? I'm planning to do some crossing with my Kali Mist next fall. I've got Eldorado (Oaxaca Mexico landrace from Sativa Seedbank) that I want to cross it with to bring more sativa into the KM. I also want to cross TGA's Apollo 13 with both of them to bring the flower time down. Those african sativas would be nice to cross in there too while the pollen is flying.

@harry, I'm wondering if there's a way to move that intake fan? Yes I'm on an a/c reason being, there a lot of stuff outside (mold, mildew, bugs) that could make things difficult, let alone ruin a perfect grow... If you are interusted in co2 , well you know where I'm going w that, those exhale bag things or just go for it and take the plunge on a set up, like ec (or eyecandi, we abreviate names of members and strains a lot here) said, craigs list is gonna have em from time to time, or new I think your looking at like two hun, and worth every penny. Hope this helps, let is know what ya think.
Ec, Med, Hs- I can't wait to see those crosses. Or little circle is becoming quite the crew... Glad to be a part of it and loving the ideas of those african and mexican lr's going into some crosses! Yo ec, update on the ray mysterio jr cut, how's it looking? :)

I plan on saving a couple males from them and will be keeping pollen stocked in the freezer, so no worries :)

i'm looking forward to crossing with the pre98 Bubba (Paki?) and afgooey to start with, see if we can get some vigorous hybrids in the mix. both of those african landrace strains are supposed to be super heady with high levels of THC and large bud structures.

chef - no word yet bro. bud structure is hitting fast, but I can't tell from smell yet and no purpling at all.

Chef- Where is my pollen from the Tahoe to cross with my Rom????????????????????????????????????????? Waiting.... Unless someone has some good pollen that would chuck into a pure Korean Sativa very nice??!!

Is the pic of the Choco Rain Uro? Looking REALLY healthy! Great way to start the flowering cycle. Nice work!

yea all 3 are Choc rain, 3 different phenos. the one in the back on the left may be a male but not quite sure yet

uro - if it is a male, don't cull it. I can show you how to get pollen without worrying about infecting the females (unless you want to).

Yea EC I had a nice vortex male I named brad Pitt cuz he was a stud...long story short he took too long and I missed my pollenation window so I'm gonna try to look for a male in the ace of spades I got comin or maybe qush...but anyway how far ahead should I start the ladies to make sure seeds finish?

no worries, if its a male I am definitely keeping it to get some pollen, I took two cuts of her/him if anyone is interested, actually I have cuts of all three that are starting to root, so if anybody wants some chocolate rain for their garden let me know

I usually don't pollinate past wk3, but depends on the strain. seeds take a solid 4-6wks to develop fully. if just hitting a few buds, don't worry about changing fert schedules .... but if hitting a lot of branches or an entire plant, you need to up the nutes/micros, i usually add more granular kelp and a wider variety of guanos to the soil if doing a a lot of seeds.

Thx bud...yea I thought about trying choc rain, I wanted DNA chocolope reg. but it seems they either don't make it anymore or it way more popular than their fem seeds cuz its never in stock go figure ?..anyone here grow fem. seeds? Nothing against you if you do, I just fail to see the appeal.

i made some fem beans from my Denver Durban and are growing out a few of them now. gave medshed a few and he has one that is just a week or two from coming down (pics in his Kali Myst thread). if done correctly, with good genetics they are a great tool in the arsenal. no worries about plant count #s because you know you have all females, is the main appeal for most folks I believe. that and knowing that aren't paying for a lot of males, if a pack doesn't go right (I had one pack, popped 10/11 seeds, 9 of 10 turned into males, lol.)

Oh wow lol I think I read somewhere in these threads that you use cs to make your fems, correct? I guess if you knew where the genes were coming from and could put your hands on the actual mother, they could be an awesome tool. I still enjoy the selection part of reg. seeds tho, idk it's something about looking for something that I know nobody else has that does it for me.

Sorry for the ramble, this sweet Thai I have is spacing me out lol

correct, i use and prefer the CS method. and believe me, i much prefer the selection of regulars as well, esp since I like to look for potential breeding boys. + i think the whole fem movement might do long term harm to the genetics and lead to bottlenecking. so it's a 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, type of thing.

baking up some firecrackers now ...... thanks for the idea mac!
