You can do this without having a ppm meter. If you use the same nutes as me and use distiled water il will dial you in
To the right amount. The easyest nute line i feel to use is flora nova super cheap and easy to use

well thats my dilema , he told he plants outdoors after the second full moon or something?? anyways he wont be out bye then, lol when i went and seen him in hospital i told him i thought he pulled all this on purpose to get out all the work... anyways he allready has the garden preped so all i have to do is keep them healthy for like a mth.. Knock on wood!!!!

You can't possibly use enough cfls for 80 plants...do you know how big 80 plants gets...so are you keeping them for 3 months..or getting through clone stage and then outside...cuz if you veg them for 3 months they will be trees...

after you bought enough CFLs to grow that many plants you could have bought at least one HID light...look in classified ads like craigslist and stuff...sometimes people list up grow equipment...right after I bought a new light a freaking guy in my local craigslist was selling 2 1000 watt HPS set ups for $200..and I paid more than that for one 400w CMH...I was kinda off put by that...so check the ads and just see because cfls really aren't all that great for growing...not like people make it sound...sounds like he is growing long enough to plant outside so, not a big deal, one of my friends does the same, but since I grow inside I need big lights...

So you have 90? The 23 watters will work for now but if you have 90 try to find some 4ft flourosents. 90 little cups take up quite a lot of space, where do you have them? Are you planning to finish out or in if need be? You will be amazed what they will do under a couple of 4 footers.

As for nutrients, yes ppm means the strength of nutrients. I meant whatever nutrients you use mix, follow the bottle directions but at only quarter strength. What did you give them?

I see your in Canada, I live in Sask. and am legal, is your friend legal?

like how big will they get bye then? cuz my wife wasnt exactly thrilled when i went and got them... if she starts to see a jungle growing in our rec room i wont get any for a long time... haha

sweet thanks mate, so when should i start using nutes? also i will be using distiled water, seems just safer and it only cost me $1.49 for 4L so its not a big cost..

Thanks crazyhaey... belive me i put the effort in lol growing seems like it coud be a ton of fun,,,, but talk about baptisim bye fire!!! lol
and after taking them out of the HD i put an osilating hepa filter fan in hopes it would reduce anymold spores dunno if it would work or not at the very least it blows air...

keep an eye out, putting them under a fan should help, hope all goes well.

thanks man i know if it wasnt for this site and the solid advice things would have been alot worse im gonna post pics of the plants and the setup in the morning in hopes of getting some feedback and suggestions

try to get some superthrive soon, id dilute it about 1/4 of whats suggest, you should use a drop per gallon so add a quart to your foliar feed. rainwater is also good for them. till then, let them wick out, maybe poke some holes farther away from the stem if the soil has too much moisture that should help them wick out faster.

humidity doom with the vents open,make sure that you do not over water them.
but make sure that you do not let them dry out just because you have done the pull test
does not mean your out of the woods,i hate that you should never tug on a clone just wait
till the legs [roots] are through.once the roots are through then get them into some soil and
make sure that the soil is kept moist.
i would wet the soil through but let them dry out before re watering
get them under a light a cfl will do,
