Gnats in my Box

I recently did some construction on my box and had the door open for an extented period of time. I notice afterwards a few gnats in my box. I tried to catch them, but they're very slippery.

Does any know of any great harm that gnats can cause to plants? I'll try to get them (with my hands) and could spray neem oil, but I'm hoping to avoid that since the plants are about halfway through flowering.

I had a few of them my first grow, and I've seen a couple on this batch too. I think they were gnats anyway, really small, like mini-flies. They didn't seem to hurt the plants any. I keep an open container with water in the grow cab and they eventually end up flying into it and drowning.

If you have swarms of them, you'll most likely want to do something about it.

You probably already have some sort of fan blowing air across the plant(s), but if you don't, it will help also. :weed:

its my first time growing i have some too very very hard to catch
since they caint hurt my chiks its ok with me
ill try the ( container with water in the grow cab technique)
:)

I change the water container about twice a week and often there are one or two little dead gnats floating on top. It's never caused me any problems before. Good Luck. :weed:

cup of with vinegar in it, cover the top with aluminum foil and poke wholes in the top just big enough for them to get in. They go in get instantly stoned and fall in vinegar and die. Grandma taught me this. However i dont think she knew what i was thinking:)

a gnat-catcher............may be money in that. like the rat-catchers of old.
dry out your medium, and place an inch of sharp builder's sand as a top layer.

plants are supposed to get holes in them. not too many is the trick. plants release chemicals when attacked by pests. called...........flavonoids. as in flavor. so i concede a bite here, and a bite there.

This thread title is a little disturbing, i was rather concerned for you thinking thats not good for a female, " Gnats in my box ", im pretty sure theres a cream for that.

i was wondering why my stuff seems to taste better when i do less to them.

let the plant be a plant.
