Another internet tough guy who has to resort to name calling to push his little post, RIU should have a maturity enrollment test to go along with the age limit.

Listen there are massive grows that contain thousands of kilos of hydroponically produced fruits, and vegetables used to feed countless people and animals, not to mention flowers that are sold worldwide, and not just little 1700 plant hydro grows.

My point is if you still believe it is the method of growing which causes the problem, you my unaware ignorant friend are the retard.

It only causes mold if you don't manage your environment. Fire your grower and get someone that knows their shit. It's called a dehumidifier.

Managing can be a issue when you have a lot of plants and run C02 also hydroponically grown pot brings in less money meaning most big guys buying weed by the kilos can tell hydro from soiless mediums and most want soiless rather then Hydro.

People tend to think that hydro blows soil away so untrue for instance i use soiless peat based / organic soil mixture starting a clone in 5 gallon pot ending in 150 gallon pot producing 1.5 to 2.5 pounds per plant then you got these hydro guys / bubbleponic in 20 liter buckets hahahaha

Okay, "soilless" is hydro. Cut and pasted from the merriam webster dictionary site:

Also, it can't be "soilless" if you have "organic soil" as a key part of the mix.

exactly, i run a low nute content coco coir soil in combo with an organic teas and hydroponic nutes.... if you got doubts on soil and organicscheck my sig, some amazing roots thats will show you how soil and organics will treat ya if your doing it right.

honestly the ultimate medium is AIR. and all others are subpar. i love all the forms of mediums they all have ups and downs but for themost part they all workgood if you EXP with them...... i mean i could grow pot in a toilet with pieces of broken pottery, this is hydroponic, but is it really better than soil? only if you know what your doing.

the ideal setup would be a hoop house, outdoors with adiquate ventilation. soil tastes beter. everyone tells me that. you can taste the flavors going over the back of your throat and tongue on the exhale. some dispensaries ONLY want indoor/soil grown and hand trimmed buds. i guess the bigger the supply because of location, the more finicky the dispensaries get. IDK...out here ppl couldnt tell the diff. but i can.

maybe who ever was running the 1700 wasnt knowledgeable, was probably lazy, and didnt spend the right money.

hydro costs money people dont see that...soil all you really need to grow something decent is ocean forest and any concentrated bloom base nute.

Absolutely...... any type of soil-less medium is hydro....... Coco is in between.

I personally run coco in airpots and LOVE it. But every pic or article I've ever read on professional/commercial grow ops in CA and CO are all using some form of hydro, aero or both. And yes, the CA dispensaries charge less for soil then they do for dro. I think I want to try rockwool slabs in dutch trays next. Just don't know if I want it to be a drip system or a flood/drain system. I may also consider a hempy style grow. Hempy growers seem to really love their systems and produce excellent results.

I have grown same strains in DWC, CoCo, Soil and Hempy. Each strain reacts different in each type of medium. I believe its the growers job to find what best suits them and what they are comfortable with. As well as doing same strain grows in all mediums. That way you can achieve what it is your really after. Interesting point of views here! Keep it going.

dispensaries are not "finicky" anywhere I've been, except on price. Dirt grown weed is preferred because its more profitability for them.

If hydroponic weed tastes bad, or you dont get the flavors rolling, the hydro grower fugged up, end of story. Dirt takes longer, picks up all the flavors of the dirt, and anything added, cant be properly flushed without killing micro beasties, so maybe thats what the dirt smokers are leaning towards?
