You are certainly welcome to your opinion but following is not stalking, and Zimmer had reason to ask young Martin about what he was doing in the neighborhood. The neighborhood was in the midst of a crime spree, multiple burglaries. The neighborhood formed a neighborhood watch for that very reason.
I don't follow your rant about handgun sales.
I fully support the SYG law. If you are assaulted and in danger of being beaten to death, why should you be imprisoned for defending your life?

You are completely wrong about that. The law on self defense imposes a duty to retreat. In most states, that doesn't apply in your home - you don't have to retreat from your own home, you can shoot if "you" feel your life is in danger. But in some states, there is SYG which means you don't have to retreat in many situations outside your home. Mute in Zimmerman's case, since you can't very well retreat when you are on your back with an attacker on top of you beating your head on the ground.

Again there's an assumption of guilt on martins part. It is not legal to go and "Catch" people who have done nothing wrong regardless of what you think they did or what has happened in your area previously.

Zimmerman had a chance to "retreat" before it ever started. If, in fact, he did pursue Trayvon to question him or whatever, then it could be argued that Trayvon is the one who was standing his ground, or trying to before he was killed.
It is also possible that Zimmerman did actually return to his vehicle, and Trayvon followed Zimmerman, in which case yeah, Zimmerman would be totally not guilty.
It could have gone down a number of ways, some of which would exonerate Zimmerman and some that would not. We in the general public can speculate all we want, but we do not really know what happened. That's what trials are for.

BTW it is 100% legal to follow people in order to ascertain whether or not they are doing something illegal. 100% LEGAL in every state in the nation!!!!!!!!! Zimmerman wasn't trying to "Catch " him, only close the distance enough to ask questions.

Retreat from what? SYG doesn't let you kill any person who comes near you, or did you not know that? SYG only lets you kill someone who IS THREATENING YOU WITH HARM!!!! If following someone means they are trying to kill you, then I guess there are gonna be a huge amount of SYG cases during the daily commute.

It isn't quite that simple. I never said that Trayvon could use SYG simply because Zimmerman followed him.
Like I said before, if Trayvon did in fact circle around or whatever and approach Zimmerman, then Zimmerman isn't guilty of anything.
But, what if he did follow Trayvon, and confront him somehow? Zimmerman, the wannabe cop, maybe a little too authoritarian in his challenging Trayvon, and Trayvon the kid from the city with an attitude? So, push comes to shove and there's an altercation, and Trayvon winds up dead. In this scenario, Zimmerman had the last chance to avoid it all by not following Trayvon, especially after being discouraged from doing so by 911. Having done that, I do not think he has a case for SYG. I believe the authorities know that too, or wouldn't they have had the SYG hearing by now?
