Zimmerman bond revoked

You're correct that it would be possible to provoke someone into attacking you, and then be within your legal rights to shoot them. The reason being is that the provocation cannot create license for the attack, and therefore the one being attack still has full self defense rights.
if i ever find out who you are, i'm happy to know that you'll defend my right to spit in your eye, take one of your sissy girl punches, and shoot you dead for attacking me.

thank fuck for lobbyists bringing us laws that no one asked for.

Imagine that, let people carry guns, shoot people and claim SYG in a southern state and not have bubbas start a shootin and a claimin! I would bet there are more blacks on the receiving end....
Per capita homicide rate has fallen in Florida since SYG was enacted.

but per capita homicide rate has fallen everywhere ...without having that retarded ass law...
So, maybe gun ownership and SYG laws are unrelated to an increase in violence? What is wrong with having a law that gives a person the right to self defense. Seriously, what is your objection to stand your ground laws?

Doesn't matter. Zimmerman is the victim, Travon was the thug who picked the wrong person to mess with. Did you not see the cleaned up video showing Zimmerman had injuries that backed his story? The only reason this is not a cut and dry hanging is because none involved were white...They even said the latino (Zimmerman) was white...Talk about one sided news coverage.

I didn't get it because it seems you have done nothing to get. So basically you have done nothing for the cannabis community but bash others who have ?? Hmmmmm you sound strange to me now. Two years on a cannabis site with nothing to offer but political dribble.. Dude who are you really ??

Let me lay it out for you. I am a Libertarian. I don't use drugs, or sell them, or grow them. I do, however, support the right of people to ingest whatever they want.

My reason for joining this site was prop 19. I naively thought this would be a place of more or less unanimous support for prop 19. My discussions about P19 on RIU was an eye opener for me. It became apparent that some of the most ardent supporters of prohibition were those who engaged in the cannabis business; in retrospect it was silly of me to expect that a bunch of guys making big bundles of money to support a change in the law that would significantly lighten their wallets.

If cannabis is ever going to be re-legalized it will be because of people like me. The dopers (some, not all) are either too dumb or too selfish to legalize, and most of the squares (like me) are too apathetic or too moralistic. I think legalization is coming but the "when" of it is not clear.

I sometimes engage in discussions about other topics because they interest me.

Who are you, really?

Deaths with a claim of Self defense have tripled in FL. since SYG So you might look at that with the perspective of how many deaths not how many villans killed by hair triggered bubbas.
that fact was presented very early on in the trayvon martin thread, which desert douche works feverishly to ignore.

did i mention that desert douche also takes joy in seeing growers go to jail if they do not agree with him 100% on candidates and rationale for voting?

There's this logic that if you have a ccw and claim syg, you have immunity and facts just don't matter. If trayvon was my son, Zimmerman would be better off in prison. I'd put a bullet in his head. I'd make sure to do it in an SYG state.

What do you gun guys call that, Your second amendment option? I'd be taking that option.

Zimmerman needs to just plead out to manslaughter. Lose his gun rights and just work as a stocker at a grocery store.

Desert dude...I think every one should be able to own a gun if they choose in their home..nowhere else, no conceal/carry permits for anyone...The STG law is retarded, there are already self defense laws that cover people for such instances..this STG law just made a gray area for morons with itchy trigger fingers...The real problem is not locking up people who commit crimes with guns or are caught carrying concealed guns...if they actually enforced the gun laws, the streets would have far less guns and punks with guns on them.

He would have run as fast as he could once he could get away from the situation.
LOL did you forget that Zimmerman can Teleport? Ask Redivider about that, its his stipulation that the reason fat out of shape Zimmerman can get in front of a 17 year old football player when the 17 year old has a 200 meter head start is because he can teleport. Otherwise there is no way fat out of shape Zimmerman can catch said 17 year old football player who is running away as evidenced by the 911 call where Martin RUNS AWAY!! Innocent people always run.

If that were true, then why does Florida have LESS homicides now than before SYG (not STG)?

Wow, you found evidence of a bunch of people that were getting killed OUTSIDE of their home. Before SYG you could only claim self defense if you were INSIDE YOUR HOME!!!! If you got carjacked then you HAD to let the guy take your car, rape your daughter, kill your wife and If you tried to fight back you would be charged with a crime.

I am not ignoring it at all. Somebody uses deadly force to defend his life and limb. The authorities investigate the incident and conclude the shooter was acting within the law. What's wrong with that?

It tells me that before SYG in Florida lots of people were victimized by criminals because they knew they would be further victimized by the legal authorities if they defended themselves. I don't get why you guys seem to think that a crime victim should take his beating (or murder) just because the authorities prefer to carry the victim away in a body bag rather than to carry the violent criminal away.

Choose your own side, I guess. I'm sure the criminals are comforted to know there are still a few meek sheep in the flock.

if you're being beaten or facing death, you have self defense rights already without SYG.

so how many possessions do you have that are worth more than human life?

If I were being robbed by some thug and I KNEW that he would just take my wallet and leave, I would probably just let him have it. How do you know what is in the mind of an armed robber, though?

There was a story of an old guy in Florida who went into a fast food joint one night for dinner. While he was eating, two armed robbers entered the place to do a hold up. Everything is cool so far. After emptying the cash drawers, the armed robbers ordered all the employees and patrons into the back of the restaurant. At that point the old guy drew his weapon, a .45 caliber 1911, and shot both armed robbers. One died, the other was severely injured. The one who died was a teenager, around Trayvon's age.

Was the old guy wrong? I mean, they just wanted his possessions, right?

No he was not wrong but there's a key word there "armed robbers" meaning they had already threatened the use of deadly force and displayed it. Did he need SYG? No he was already protected and within his rights in all 50 states.

You know sometimes keepin it real, can go wrong. Most people that feel so insecure in our society that they feel the need to carry a concealed weapon with them are unstable and are the 2nd to the last people we want wondering our streets with guns in their pants. Just look at how many stupid situations that have escalated into a murder have occured in Florida since SYG.
I see a big part of the problem IMHO, is someone carrying a gun, by virtue of that act alone, believes that their life has more value than some of those around them.

If that were true, then why does Florida have LESS homicides now than before SYG (not STG)?
The justifiable homicide rate has tripled. Maybe you should look at gun death statistics as well.
