I know that the way the gov't counts unemployment systematically undercounts actual people interested in working but not finding jobs: the ststisticians simply ignore those who've been unemployed after some shortish time period. The base quantities would show any other systematic data massage. My opinion. cnIt isn't like economic growth is good for the earth anyway.
It would be nice to have better graphs, but I think rates of change give credible indications. Why wouldn't they?
