It isn't like economic growth is good for the earth anyway.
It would be nice to have better graphs, but I think rates of change give credible indications. Why wouldn't they?
I know that the way the gov't counts unemployment systematically undercounts actual people interested in working but not finding jobs: the ststisticians simply ignore those who've been unemployed after some shortish time period. The base quantities would show any other systematic data massage. My opinion. cn
