So we have people changing water/nutes/additives and some never change. Kinda shows how 2 seperate ways both work. I myself change once every 7 days and my reasoning being, thats how I learned to do it and was told its important most of all changing water/nutes/additives upon switching from veg nutes to bloom nutes and also flushing with straight ph"d water. I have wondered if nutrient build up could become a problem especially for growers with no expirence. Myself i do change the water/nutes/additives once a week but also tunning into your plant is the greatest indicator if a change needs to be made. Your plant(s) will show you what they need most of the time. Ive known a couple people who have worked with the same strain and grow medium, nutes for years and its uncanny how dialed into ones plants a person can become. I am curious about possible nutrient buildup if no changes between switching from veg to flowering nutes....anyone have an opinion?

Well I for one never recommend not flushing at all.. I flush when I switch from veg to flower twenty four hours, then twice in flower usually three weeks apart.

I almost never do a res change. What I do is alternate every other watering nutes one time and just plain water the next and sometimes I let the level get real low and fill with plain water kind of like a flush

I go with a single res change when I switch to flowering. I dont do this to save nutes, because I use bulk chemical nutes that cost really little if I had to change. I don't change my res because I feel like the plants are growing great with same res, and actually I screwed them more when I changed more often. I try and estimate what part of nutes they need more, for example, I wouldnt add micro nutes with every topping, I try to be moderate in topping off with anything, and because I have them in parts, I can add one thing without the other. If I had more advanced testing equipment than regular EC meter, I could test NPK and micro nutes and add only that which i need. I can probably go from grow into another using the same res, but I never tried that... yet

I never change my rez. i just let water go down and fill with nute'd water. i fill mine once it gets half way. i put 7 drops of african violet into a gallon jug and a half cup of viagrow in the jug and fill rez as needed. i also grow 12/12 and my bigger plants the 2 in the bucket are 2 months and 1 week old
