if you cant afford the platinum privilege accounts youll have a fat ass deductible that you must pay yourself, and then youre in the same spot as before, just with the monthly insurance premium or the "O-tax" to pay as well.

That's a limit on your insurance disclosed when you buy it. You can get insurance that has no limit, but it cost more. The pre-existing condition clause means they don't have to pay for in issue you had before you bought the insurance. It is abused tho.
