I should add that I have stopped using amino acids for now. Plant uptake rate of amino acids is not super high since they are somewhat large organic molecules and not super polar when compared to the ionic nutrient solutions used so I am trying to let the plants use whats left in the resevoir. I HIGHLY recommend people use amino acids since they do four things. They buffer the nutrient solution so you do not get wild pH swings (amino acids are weak acids), act as a nitrogen source (all amino acids contain nitrogen, "amino" comes from the functional group amine, NR[SUB]3[/SUB], where R is some other element, carbon and two hydrogens in the case of amino acids), and they increase the uptake of essential ions such as Ca2+, K+, Mg2+, Fe, Cu, and Mn. Finally and probably most importantly, they increase chlorophyll concentration in the leaves. Read this paper published in 2011. If your not a big reader, at least read the abstract, intro and discussion sections. The study was done on tomatoes but cannabis and tomatoes have pretty similar nutritional requirements. Ill try to find more studies pertinent to hydroponics and post them, I study chemistry and do research at a large university so I have free, unlimited access to scientific journals that normally you would have to pay money for (which is bullshit since lots of research is tax-payer funded, so essentially, everyones already payed for it)

I am really liking this strain. Took 8 cuttings one week into flower and used clonex with rockwool cubes. Hopefully one strikes.

13 days into flower

Nice comparison but plants grown from seed aren't the best way conduct a side-by-side. Even observations about plant height, inter-nodal spacing and leaf size could all be explained by the fact that plants from seed will naturally vary from one another. Maybe this run will give you an idea of where your temps should, what you should be feeding them, and how far your panels should be away from your plants so next time when you run groups of the same cutting in each tent, you'll start to truly see differences that can be attributed to the light source.

Plants looks healthy though, nice job.

yea i dont intend for this to be a comparison grow, got cuttings that I'm hoping will strike (which isn't super likely since they were already in flower) and ill take the best and mother it. Boom, clones as a control variable. Think i got the spring temperatures figured out, so well see where I'm at when this grows done

Been almost a month since last post. My bad on that. Had to get through finals and then had to move setup a few times for security. In the process of moving, I had to bend the plant to fit in back of a car. Pretty much had to super crop the HPS plants hard and the LEDs not so much since LED plants are more squat. Because of this, the plants got shocked pretty hard. I usually have to refill buckets completely every three days or so at this stage of flowering but the last couple waters have had five days in between waterings and I only watered because I was afraid of the water stagnating and wanted to flush. Watered two days ago and buckets are starting to feel pretty light and in need of water so I think they are recovering, but too bad its late in cycle. Also two hermies were in HPS tent and the male pods didnt pop till late. Last pic shows the tiny beginnings of seeds if look closely. Pics are shitty today, ill get better ones tomorrow if have time.

strain is a bit sensitive and not super stable. Gonna get some seeds from attitude after this grow finishes in couple weeks. Anyone got some good suggestions? looking for squat, fast finishing plants with a decent yield.
