The lower leaves of my plant are starting to dry out and yellow. They start at the tips and go towards the stem. Any suggestions?

Could be nute burn..could be a watering problem...could be a deficiency...

Got any pics? Are you in soil or hydro? How old are they?

They are about a month old. I'm in soil. Sorry about the low-quality pictures, but they're the best I could do sort notice.

Yea man, those fall off as the plant gets older. No worries man. And yes, get the lights A LOT CLOSER! Those fuckers are stretching bad. Might also want to step the lighting up.

Four weeks is roughly a month..check out my journal..they are a little over a month...

If you look at the nodes, they are spaced WAY apart. This is because they are not getting enough light, so they are stretching up towards it. The stems don't look very strong either...

What kind of light do you have on them now?

I have 3 CFL's that are 26watts. I am kind of clueless when it comes to these. How should I set them up. Maybe 2-3 per plant?

I think the problem came when I thought I was burning my plants. I let up on the light and I guess it made it worse.

Naw bro, that's the good thing about cfl's. You can get them an inch away from your plants and be ok. They don't put out a lot of heat.

You will want lots of them, yea at least 3 per plant. With blue spectrum! 6500K bulbs.

u can put those cfls up to an inch or 2 next to the plant.. after 4 weeks your plant should be between 8'' and 1' tall...but bushier than that....repot your plant and put the soil right up to those lil yellowing leaves and that will help u regain strength in the main stalk.. buy a couple more cfls and put em up there...

they're too stretched out. It's gonna be hard to get a lot of light to the plant because the leaves are so far away from each other now. Plants that get a lot of light from the start stay short (they don't need to stretch to get light) and grow more leaves (denser growth)

With CFLs you can have the light almost touching (but not) and the plant will be fine. A short, dense plant works well with cfls because they don't require as much light penetration. You should look up Screen of greens and Low stress training if you haven't. These are methods that work well with CFLs because the plants must be very close to the bulb in order to have enough light to flower a decent amount of bud.

hope that points you in the right directions but your plants remind me of GP420

BTW what kind of soil is that? Miracle gro? That would explain the nute burn/deficeincies

hey fats,u should do research b4 even thinkin about growin, have some background knowledge first so u dont have to keep asking ppl what is what. ur a freakin newbie arent cha?do some fucking research first cus knowledge is power

fuck that pea plant ya got goin and start over with sum right stuff, youll have a better plant in the same time that thing gets any better... dont grow till you're totally ready, get sum more cfls

ok well i planted outside and they are coming up good they are about 4 weeks or 5 at the most the two largest ones are about 4 inches is there something wrong we used top soil and a potting soil mix my friend pick up all the wrong shit but i we didnt have time to go back and all that shit so we just did what we had to do . do u think that maybe it could be from the topsoil i mean they have good leaf on them idk
