It feeds the microbes in your soil. It also is a good source of micro nutes
^^^ is right about feed the microbes in your soil if you re growing organic soil.

if you re intending to use molassess for your soil , it will be best to use 1 tsp. i know everyone would say 1 tbls. but it dissolve in the water easy and give soil time to break molassess down before feeding the mircrobes, JMO

happy gardening and peace

Always a must in my super tea. Help feed my "micro-herd" of beneficial bacteria and fungi that help breakdown nutrients and makes them available for your plants.

So if Im using MG Soil with time release nutes then I shouldnt use it?
if you are growing non-organic you could still use it.....they say synthetic nutes kill the microbes in the soil but there are millions of microbes in agricultural soil so I'm pretty sure it isn't as significant as ppl make it out to be. "A teaspoon of productive soil generally contains between 100 million and 1 billion bacteria." http://www.lawn-care-academy.com/soil-sterilization.html

Hi,

Im using Bio Canna Terra soil with the full BioCanna range of nutes. Would using molasses on my soil help my grow? If so how would i go about using them with my soil that already has timed released nutes.

Peace

I would.......most "sweeteners" have molasses as the main ingredient along with other shit......molasses is cheap and effective from the results I have seen......just use it wisely like with everything else.......using too much can alter taste from what I hear.

Whats with using molasses that Im seeing........does that actually work is it recommended?
I did a controlled run before on g-13 strains. 4 Had molasses treatment and the other 4 did not. I was using molasses at 2 tsp per gallon of water from week 3 of budding till I was ready to flush for 10-14 days. After the harvesting and drying and curing I did the math and based on my run the average of increase of yield with molasses treatment was an increase in overall yield by 12%.

There are many good brands of molasses. Just always make sure its unsulphered. You can buy molasses at grow stores, home depot, and Ace Hardware.

you can buy it from walmart.....they have Grandma's Unsulphured Molasses and the Brier Rabbit brand unsulphured molasses......the Brier has higher nutrient content........And yes I feed every other watering full strength. or maybe 4/5th strength.

I use blackstrap.. I hear grandmas has too much sugar in it? not sure but i've heard to be careful with that stuff cua its not refined enough

A third round of processing is possible, and this is the round that results in the product known as blackstrap molasses. Blackstrap molasses is the thickest form of molasses, the darkest, and the most dense in terms of minerals.

I had alook on the internet to see what I could buy and I found a fairtrade organic molasses for $5. You can even use it to marinate your meat for a bbq haha! Is this normal? or am I looking at the wrong stuff?

Peace
