Seedling dying! Cfl change?

The highier watt bulf probably gives off much more heat, if u have the new bulb at the same level u prob need to raise it, seedlings are sensitive

@Hilo

I've checked one seedling and six new leaves have appeared in the center since transplanting which was 24 hours ago. The growth has been stunted since Sunday which probably has something to do with the soil compaction of the rubbish i was using before. What do you think that means, could it still die? It's still light green and the first leaves still appear to be dieing but none of the other leaves have markings besides some spots on the cotyledons which have been there for some time. I also have another seedling in slightly better condition with no markings on the cotyledons and slightly less browning.

And if it survives will the first leaves die anyway.

You look ok now man. If it was just a burn from the bulb your fine. If the plant is diseased or ur soil was too hot you will know soon.

I just started a seedling today from some ganj I liked alot. Since I found a dude that sells half Os for 35 bucks my ambition to grow has got low.

they have just been overwatered...don't water til the cup or pot you have them in is feather light.

It is likely to be alright..as long as you don't overwater or feed it for a few weeks.

Like i said, they have recovered. The markings are from the horrible cheapo soiil i used that was literally soaking wet 3 days after watering. They were transplanted into seedling soil mix 4 days ago which was when the first leaves stopped dieing.

Thanks for telling me that though. I knew it had to be the soils poor drainage, or the time released nutrients in the soil that caused it.
