yea that freeked me out too the first time he told me his ph.. clearly its some good stuff tho.. cause hes doing a great job with them girls...ph 4.6!!!!!????? way too low man way too low......5.5-5.8 is optimum for maximum nutrient uptake. 4.6 is very acidic thats alot lower than rain water
I agree, but I do admit that every res change that 4ish ph bothers me from the plant amp. I am allways on edge till it raises lol.I got cutting edge too they work great to me!
Awesome. Thank you so much for answering my question. It's funny, most of the negative comments I was hearing (or reading at it were) regarding GSCs were from people who had limited to no experience with them; smoking or growing.Well I have smoked from the same genetics that I am growing now and I was glad to pick them up. Very good smoke, and keeps me medicated for about 2 hours per half bowl so I cant complain. I do have the platinum cookie phenotype though and it looks like it is going to go very well. The clones take everything I throw at them, even 1100ppm in their first week in veg with no tip burns, so its a very hearty plant. I am looking forward to getting the thin mint cut from a certian person with a carabean music form in his name next week so I will have both GSC strains. Would I pay 50$ a clone for it..... no, but if you can find real GSC for the 20-30$ range well worth it. I prefer it much better then the last flavor of the month however AKA Blue Dream
Also with the pheno I have, i would def recomend it for someone who hasnt grown much before. i have forgotten to turn on my cycle timer 2 times now this last time with the lights on and no water or nutes going to the roots for 5 hours and they spring right back with no damage whatso ever. so it is a very forgiving strain.
Snoogins
Yeah I have seen alot of that, and I think the biggest problem is how many scammers there are out there that passed off alot of bad unknown genetics as GSC. Real GSC seems to like how I am growing it. the 6 I have in veg have turned into monsters and I think I am going to have to put them in flower early since they are trying to croud out the fire og on my veg system. I literaly cannot tuck the branches and leaves back anymore then I have and its still covering the baby FOGS lol.Awesome. Thank you so much for answering my question. Bigger pots wont work due to the cab dimentions. I am going to have to cut clones for new mothers and start veging em since they are allready 3.5 feet tall. They dont have to be air pots, they just were what i had and wanted to try cause i was trying to avoid root lock lol. May see if I can find some 2 gallon buckets and do a dwc in there, then i could speed grow back mothers when i have to replace em. If i could fit enough 5 gal buckets in there i would just make that work.. man i dont know what to do lol.Is there any way you can transplant into bigger pots? Do they have to be air pots? Sorry man, only
real suggestion ive got as i dont really keep mother plants.
Thanks bro, I am still working on perfecting the system but that is a never ending chore i dont think any of us will ever truely finish, but I am trying. Just hoping I can keep this health up through the entire flower cycle. Prolly beginers luck for the first time using this system lol.looking awesome..... u got ur shit dialled in man....
seems like the growing culture is finally making a name for itself as a seriously skilled segment of society.... love it
no more 'stoners playing with seeds' rep
love it !!!
Ahh fair enough bro the 5 gal buckets may be the go hey!Bigger pots wont work due to the cab dimentions. Think there would be enough space for me to do like 3 plants in two buckets and be able to take 6 clones off each plant once every 18 weeks?Ahh fair enough bro the 5 gal buckets may be the go hey!
Definitely sounds doable mate keep us posted hey!Think there would be enough space for me to do like 3 plants in two buckets and be able to take 6 clones off each plant once every 18 weeks?
Hehehe I was wondering who would catch that My Plant Amp by CES takes the ph to 4.1-4.9 the first day, this is expected from the cleated calcium that is in it. The first night the plant absorbs the calcium and the ph stables itself out at 5.8 and locks in. If I phed it up, it would lock at like 7.5 when the calcium was absorbed. Good lookin out though Flow
Edit:
New res check, 12 hours later

Interesting on the Ph i get a similar result using Cycoflower's XL (superphosphoric acid) used only once at week 3 veg. i have to wait a couple of hours for it to settle before i run it through the system as it gradually climbs from as low as 3.0-rising to 4.5 after a few hours. Like you say if you were to add ph adjusters this would further whack it out once it balances itself. It's clever shit and it shows in week 3 veg....every time.Think there would be enough space for me to do like 3 plants in two buckets and be able to take 6 clones off each plant once every 18 weeks?
Its 18 weeks because I am doing a 3 week prepetual with 6 mothers, so it would be 18 weeks when i got back to strain number 1 I was thinking of doing a system like yours but I am not sure what size pots I could get where i could fit 6 in the cab and be able to set up drainage and a pump. I think pearlite is the way to go for what I need though. Am thinking those white 7 inch square pots might work out but not sure how fast they would root bind and give me the same issue with pearlite. any thoughts?Interesting on the Ph i get a similar result using Cycoflower's XL (superphosphoric acid) used only once at week 3 veg. i have to wait a couple of hours for it to settle before i run it through the system as it gradually climbs from as low as 3.0-rising to 4.5 after a few hours. i really don't know as i haven't tried cloning that many! but being said you would get a quicker turn around than 18 weeks! i get 6 massive clones from my plant after 4 weeks, and if i didn't flip i could take upto 20 clones right now...they rebuild pretty quickly. you will have no problem taking that many clones! and they will all be huuuuge! how much room you got for this cloning setup?
My system would be very suitable for a mother cloning system, 100% perlite would be fine. you could grow clones for ages! then when they get too big, fresh perlite, new clone 3 weeks later atleast a few more.
