DG does do that and the pH stays there, which is more than you can say about your dog-and-pony-show formula.

Luckily though, your elements are chelated:

Lets just say for a second that your elements aren't chelated, do you think a constantly rising pH into the low-to-mid 6's is ideal for hydro, tree? Because if you think it is, then it looks like my old GH 3-part is 'pH perfect' too .

High P foods induce stretch, which is exactly what you have in Advanced Shysters "blossom boosters" like Blood Bud, a 0-39-25. For starts, cutting out N is nothing more than pure STUPIDITY.

Let's take a look at experiments bonafide scientists have conducted regarding plant stretch and how nutrition plays into it.

http://www.gpnmag.com/what-really-causes-stretch

You're turning to the wrong people for your education but like all noobs, you'll have to learn the hard way.
Canna Shysters General Hydro Shysters Humboldt Shysters Jack’s Classic 10-30-20 Shyster Booster H & G Shysters BC Shysters not to mention Dyna Shysters (Mag-Pro)

I'm not ragging on you UB but just in general about AN bashing

They are ALL Shysters, so why the concentration on AN you guys? Just because of aggressive marketing? AN pisses me off too as I indicated but why not bash on some of these other companies also? Did you read the literature about Canna? My god, Xanadu.

it was only in the low 6's for the first day, i think it was cause there was a little bit of old nutes left in the system. ever since then ive been in the high 5's i just checked it now and its at 5.6. can you believe this fuckin guy lol he doesnt even know how his own nutes work that he's been bragging about for months and giving people advice on. he said dyna can do the same thing. i got some news for you homebrewer if you have water thats 5.0 and you dump dyna in than your gonna end up in the 4's, theres no where to go but down but if you dump in ph perfect youl end up at 5.7. what a fuckin clown he doesnt know how his own nutes work lol! all they did was add something to bring the ph down its nothing special

Protekt is alkaline, DG's base is acidic. When mixed properly, they balance to land you right around 6.0 but that depends on the total alkalinity of your water. So what were you saying about someone not understanding anything about their base nutes?

When you're talking about feeding plants and the growth patterns that certain NPK ratios produce, the medium matters (aka, hydro vs soil).

you have no idea what your talkin about i was using dyna gro bloom with silica and i still had to use ph down and when i added too much i had to use ph up just like any other nute. were talkin about nutrients right now anyway not additives. protekt is an additive. dyna gro bloom plus Protekt together will equal your overall ph going down anyway just like using the bloom alone. it will go down less but it still goes down. just like i said before if you got a ph of 5.0 and add dyna bloom and Protekt youl be in the 4's still. nice try to save face lol

So, you're saying that as long as my pH is perfect when I start and I add just the right amount to balance them out that I'll be ok.. Really? Wouldn't that be true of most every plant food out there? All you have to do it mix it just right.. You're just fucking around now aren't ya? lol :-P

Also, you see now that you were misinformed about pH perfect right?

The resulting pH of whatever your combination of products is isn't really important. What is important is the hydroponic plant food's ability to stay at the pH that you set it at. Like I said earlier, the total alkalinity of your water is important and will affect the movement of your pH. Assuming one's water isn't extreme, a buffered plant food resists pH swings and stays where you put it. That's not how AN's new formula works. Call them. Follow the link I posted. I really don't care if you guys want to learn something today or not.

Take a step back for a second though. If pH issues were the reason for your inconsistent harvests in the past then maybe hydroponic growing isn't for you. For those of you who thought pH issues were the reason for your unhealthy plants, post some pics of your hydro crop in a month or two. Lets see if it's possible to fix 'stupid'. (Tree, I'm talking to you)

As we know, it is "buyer beware", or at least "we" should know that. Unscrupulous sellers count on a (big) percent of cannabis gardeners being ill-informed.

I think you're still confused and that's partly AN's fault apparently. In the video, that's Erik.. he' works for AN and is very knowledgeable about the product. Much more then the phone rep you spoke with. It's apparent in the video that those are buffers at work plain and simple. :)

I'm not sure what link you're talking about the one to icmag? or the one to the label. Btw, the one to the label clearly says pH balancing and stabilizing compounds.. looks like you proved our case.. :-P

I doubt if 'Big Mike' could find his big butt with both hands. I also doubt if anyone but you bothered to get the facts on what causes stretching as presented (scientifically) in my link done by professional trials as opposed to a bunch of kids enamored by hype, kiddie product names, and colorful artsy labels. Gotta wow 'em with bullshit ya know. :hump:

if you guys spent as much time with your plants as you do bashing AN on forums maybe you'd actually learn how to grow. :-P

blaming nutrient companies for your lack of knowledge and mistakes...that's NOOB!!!

I think big Mikes thing was high P foods not being really needed and that most of it's is washed away so you're paying for something not used. He showed charts and stuff that pointed out that K was used more in flower.

K is the quality element. That's well known. P is for bulk.
