Jokes ... It appears stoners think the same on both sides of the Atlantic. .... I wonder if that very same thought ever occured to cave-man when he ingested Cannabis. Probably.

I'm betting Cannabis led to the very first mammoth hunt. The portions seemed suddenly reasonable. cn

I don't belong to any 'order'. I'm by nature, a question asker, a thinker, and one who excepts his ignorance in such matters.

Then you'd like science. It operates from the same basic premise. cn
'Like' is an emotional state of mind. Irrelevant to any ultimate truth.

I kinda like the stuff science enables me to have. Its Ok, ... sort -off. But its a tool which helps us as corporeal beings to express ourselves and understand the seemingly physical world. ... Its importance is 'un-known' to me.

I experience, not through choice but rather it was forced upon me. I 'exist' in a material world but still am able to ponder the immaterial. ... Cool huh?

yes true, but to each there own i say, but its been a while sience ive met someone who shares the same views as me
You see, I say, I don't really know what I believe. ... For me, thats an intelligent and virtuous philosophical stance to take. ... The fact its also shared by dummies is unfortunate.

The material world is science's purview and bailiwick. I agree that "like" can be an emotional statement. i could say "gravitiate toward" but it would mean the same thing.
As for the immaterial ... science doesn't go there. sadly, I'm up to my armpits in folks who practice 'scientism" ... they try to overreach and use science to explain the big questions beyond the entirely rational. For me, at eighteen, one of the shatteringly profound lessons was "the rational is contained within, but does not contain, the real". cn

"the rational is contained within, but does not contain, the real" ... this is what I suspect.

bailiwick .... hmmm New word for my lexicon, I'll remember that word for ever now, I love my brain.
