Sounds like you've done some research. Your equipment sounds good too. I just think that 1000 watter even in a cool tube will put off quite a lot of heat. I would run and A/C unit and keep the tent sealed. To cool your light run your intake in from outside the tent, and run your exhaust to the outside of the tent. This will save you on CO2 having to refill everytime your tent gets too hot and you run the exhaust to cool it. I'm not even sure if it's feasible to run that much light in a room that small with CO2 without it being a sealed room or a liquid cooled setup or something. Pretty sure your fan will kick on every 5 minutes and expel all your CO2. I run 1250 watts, and the AC runs constant to keep the room (6x10) below 80. (the room has 4 inches of spray foam insulation and wall is R25)

Here's a drawing. I'm sure you know what I mean, but this helps explain sometimes. You can use a regular window air conditioner, or a mini split.

yea i appreciate it, my plan was to board up the window seal it with two 8 inch flange cutouts one up top to exhaust and one below to pull fresh air with a mushroom filter, i do need to figure out the ac unit because summer it will be too hot.

Yeah, and even in the winter that light is going to keep that exhaust running a few times an hour. You'll save quite a bit on CO2 with a sealed room. Window air conditioners can be used in a sealed room as long as you leave the back outside of the tent. Or even just put it in the window, push your tent up to it, and cut a hole for the air conditioner. Tape it good. :peace:

and if your using co2, there is no need for a intake with a mushroom filter. co2 will take care of those needs.
u will need a damper for your exaust, so when its not on u will not loose co2.

yea i see, i guess i go from plug into medium, same medium the full cycle? perlite?
If I had my druthers, I'd plant the established seedling into Happy Frog, then pot up in late veg to Ocean forest ... or stay with happy Frog and begin adding nutes once the plant has exhausted the soil.
Are you going to do CO2 as well? I would definitely get my atmospheric growing skills&experience all lined up before adding a whole 'nother variable. cn

My co2 controller has plug ins for my exhaust so co2 will only run when air cooler is off if that helps...gorilla grow tents are supposed to have a great design they said co2 holds great...

Well i just figured when the exhaust clears the room i will need fresh air to replace in the tent, i would rather outside air then the air in the room coming in, right?

Yeah, It won't push CO2 in when it's venting, but if it vents every ten minutes? That's 6 times an hour that it will have to run the CO2. Just saying. A/C for climate control would be a really good choice. It could cut your CO2 cycles down to 2-3 times a day depending on how well your tent seals is all I'm saying :peace:

I completely agree with you that is why I am going to do all the research first and get it dialed in before I attempt it no use in wasting time I was thinking the same thing about starting with happy frog and then jumping into ocean forestu

Good point I will have to figure out how to get ac air into there, is a way to get fresh air going through the ac and filter i really want a super clean environment

Yea but is ever a bad idea to get the air out too fast? Also i am going to get a bigger tent for flowering in the future so this 5x5 will turn into a veg room

no, your co2 tank will fill your to your desired co2 level. if your going to use co2 just forget about your fresh air intake.

Ok i see...how many gallons of co2 does it take for full cycle. Any thoughts on mh and florescents for vegging? I have a dimmable 1000w ballast and t5

You will need to run your tank for 16 minutes to bring your ppm's to 1500 with your flow meter set at 1 Cubic Foot per hour. Topping up ppm's 4 times per day your 20 pound CO2 tank will last only 7 1/2 days. If you don't have a sealed room your bottle wouldn't last but a couple days if that.
Also, you can run a bit higher temps when you are using CO2 which will be good for your setup. I think if you really want to run CO2 in an unsealed room it would probably be best to go with a propane CO2 Generator. It'll cost you only 1/5 of what the CO2 bottle but will REALLY heat up your room. I think your best bet is to run A/C and keep the room sealed.

i would stay away from roots organics dirt, iv always had more gnats with it then anything else. also they use fir bark as filler and it gives me slivers so i hate that.. i use fox farms ocean forest every time, even on seeds.
