how to fit in

I'm lucky in that I've never really had to dress up for work, the dressiest I ever had to be was we had to wear collared shirt and no jeans. I won't wear slacks so Dockers, which still is almost as bad, and no sneakers, I ended up with brown suede shoes.

I actually did look halfway decent, but it's just not me. I did wear a suit for the initial job interview. Hehe I looked very uncomfortable. Weddings, funeral, job interviews are the only suit occasions, and that happens once maybe every five to ten years.

Most of my career was in radio, so no one cares how you look. And now I deal with people on the phone,,so it doesn't matter either. All about comfort and feeling good for me

Clothes do not make a person, the person makes the clothes. You don't have to follow the high end fashionistas, just be you and be comfortable with yourself. As long as you and your clothes are clean, not ripped and tattered and fit you properly you should be fine no matter what. It also depends on the situation you are dressing for as well. If you need to go on a job interview or dress up function you may consider a jacket and nice shirt and pants and some nice dress shoes. If you are just hanging out with buddies, I am sure a hoodie, t-shirt, jeans and some cool shoes is just fine. Just be you. :D

It's one of those "to thier own" thing eh LOL. :D It must get exhausting for some girls to constantly try to keep up with the latest fashions. I don't get it personally, I wear what I want, what makes me feel good and what I perceive to look good. At home it is all comfy clothes because I am in business suits and all week. Clothes shopping or any shopping is annoying to me so when i shop i get several outfits at once so I don't have to go back for awhile lol.

Who gives a shit about fitting in? No matter what you do someone will always looks down on you for some aspect of yourself. If you start changing yourself, you will find yourself by yourself. Just be who you are and you will (hopefully) attract like-minded people. Unless you're looking for a certain job, then just locate and copy the most successful clown you can find.
