and heaven forbid you lose your job that had ok benefits.. have you any clue as to what they expect people to pay themselves in order to keep benefits via cobra?? i was looking at over $500 a month for insurance for only one person when that's over half of what i made per month..

maybe if healthcare overall was cheaper, and if the first thing that hospitals asked for was your insurance information, things would be a bit different..

i understand that dr's cost money, don't get me wrong, but my god, do you know anyone who's spent any amount of time in a hospital and took a look at their bills?? i can't justify for the life of me the prices that build up very quickly..

Yes, because government has forced healthcare to be a big 3rd party payer system which creates waste, fraud and abuse and causes higher costs for everyon.

Can anyone come up with a good reason WHY health care providers cannot offer insurance to people out of the state they are located in? There is ZERO competition between companies for individual policies. That is why things are multiple times the actual cost.

We need to introduce innovation and competition into a single party payer health system which would allow poorer people to have ala-carte healthcare at much lower costs than is paid now. If the government would step back and let private industry solutions take hold we could start addressing the issues.

Nobody is advocating for the removal of the current emergency system.

We are objecting to Obamacare which is supposed to cut costs but somehow requires nearly 3 trillion dollars to do that. This will not cause costs to go down, it will cause costs to skyrocket. That is the first lie of Obamacare.

Where are the thousands of dollars of savings already promised??? Obama said each family policy should be 2500 dollars less by now and yet the cost is rising faster than before!! Why are you not asking questions about that?

If Obamacare actually did what it promised to do I might be on board. But you cant add 30 million people to the medical roles without adding more doctors and expect things to get cheaper. That is just insanity....

The truth is that it doesnt make things cheaper, it just compels a massive influx of money into the system through compulsatory taxes on the very individuals it supposedly protects. The rich and well off already have health care, they are not going to have to pay the penalty. It is the poor that will have to suddenly pony up hundreds or thousands of dollars in fines because they cant purchase healthcare.
