Damn i hate to hear that Nugs!I'm waiting to hear from my buddy he's about 200 miles north of you he was so looking forward to this year but after hearing you i think he might be in trouble.Only thing he's running that would be ready would be my shark attack clones and i seriously doubt they're even ready yet.Not sure about your setup but can you pull in some compost piles to help heat your greenhouse? also water barrels will help hold off a frost.every little thing helps sometimes but then again propane heaters work very well

i will see what the rent-it shop has....i would like an electric carpet dryer/heater.

I apologize if this question seems retarded, but do you suppose one could cram 9 mainlined ladies into a 6x6 space under a 1000 watt light? You've mentioned somewhere in here that an 8 head has a diameter of about 28" but in the images they never seem to go very far beyond the diameter of the 7 gallon pots, which I beleive are ~14".

Dude, that is a huge question. It's not the tools, it's how you use them. One person might do a zip/gal while the next guy/girl might grow nothing but mildew.

no need to apologize bro, i understand where Bobo was coming from though too...zip/gal is very possible for a scene that is dialed, but very difficult to reach if it isn't.....give me your details again, and i will give you my honest opinion, and would also love to help you achieve your goals...lets do this!

i really like the idea of 4 plants under each 1K, each in a 10 gal., Main-Lined for 16 heads.....64 heads per light....that being said, 40 zips per 1K would be an epic haul!......you would probably need a hog of a yielder, be supplementing with teas and sugars, and micro-managing your canopy to make it as flat as possible...concave would be even better....sounds like a challenge....think of it this way, each head would have to average around .6 of an ounce (assuming you will yield some understory mass)...those are donkey dicks....i think it is possible...

Sorry man, I was over exaggerating. My intentions were not go come off mean either, but rather just to say that even with things dialed there can still be issues/variations depending on strains etc, and as Mojo said that's a lot of weight for 1k. I can't remember what you said originally there, so I can't tell you what I was thinking at the time. I know from watching over here that zip/gal is quite a feat.

Main-Lining From Seed (A Day-to-Day Journal)
Happy Equinox everyone......fired up the first light of the indoor season, a 42 watt CFL. I will be documenting Main-Lining from seed in a very detailed, systematic manner for my fellow nerds....i hope to take quality photos of the process with intention of publication. i just invested in a studio light system, so i should be able to take my photos up a few notches.....i am looking at these 4 beans as a new start for me, on all levels. Out of these 4 i hope to choose one lady for my 32 headed ML cabinet scrog. i will however main-line the other two as an 8, 16 respectively....lets see how long this actually takes to get these girls ready to flower. We have Bay-11, Timewreck, Vortex x A.O.S, and Space Jill.......hope to have you all along for the ride....nugs

nugz, I'm moving and looking at rebuilding (landlords from hell) so there's not much to say now, but I do have some broad strokes worked out so I can give you a vague idea of what I'll be working with in a few months. I should note I grow commercially, but I'm switching to organics to gain an edge in quality, save on overhead and because I'm determined to make my way growing the dankest of dank.

I'm starting off with a 12x12 space that I'll veg and flower out a crop of clones in under the 4 1000W HPS in Adjust-a-Wings (obviously I'll grab some MH ballasts and bulbs for veg) and since I hate wasting light but don't mind moving plants around every few days to water them I'm going to grow wall to wall buds. It'll be air conditioned by a window-unit and I won't hesitate to ditch the AAWs for something huge and air cooled if I have heat problems. I'll be running it sealed from the get go with c02 ducted in from a remote generator or just tanks if I give up on figuring that one out; I'll base my choice of controller on the type of system I start out with. I'll be using foylon or mylar and trying to grow wall to wall. Hopefully the proceeds from crop one will be enough to bankroll another flowering room run off a flip-flop and a veg room to get a perpetual thing goin'.

If you think the mainlining approach is viable on a large scale for commercial ops then I am definitely down to try it out with your guidance, excited, in fact, to try it. I know it'll be a lot of work on a regular basis but it'll be worth it to be pulling crops of 100% top shelf nug.

I think it's awesome you're sharing your wisdom with the world; so many people in the medical community just won't, at least in my little part of it.

No worries man, I edited it because of how off I was on the math and how vague the question was. I didn't take offense. Since the 7 gallon aurora root pots are about 14" they WILL go under a 1000w in a 4x4 grid pattern, but 1oz/gal would mean 7lb/KW, and.........well if anybody's done that I wanna see a picture.

Got a question, sense you guys are talking about lighting, this is my indoor cabinet. It's about 2x4 ft and 5 ft tall. Right now I have t-5's and cfls for veg. I use it on cloudy days and about 5 pm I move my plants in there from outside (to keep them in veg). I'm thinking about flowering 2 of my main lined plants in there. What type of light would be good? I have a bathroom exhaust fan mounted on top to help remove hot air and that small fan you see in the picture. Winter time temps here are still up in the 80's and low 70's at night, so might need more fans? My other option would be to set up an area outside of the cabinet.
