Freeing Clone From Humidity Dome & Opinions

Having used both rapid rooters (or similar) and rockwool for cloning, I personally prefer rockwool. It just seems to be easier for me to stay the right moisture level.

I'm interested to see how the Rockwool clones I have set down will respond.

Here we are, 10 days after cloning, with roots on 32 out of the original 49. The others didn't survive for various reasons, mostly poor first-time cutting and trimming technique. Going into Solo cups in three days time:

Also started foliar feeding w/ weak nute solution, and also am dunking the plugs in same weak nute solution to keep the peat plugs moist; plugs tend to dry quickly w/ dome removed.

Not bad for my VERY FIRST cloning attempt, eh?

GOOD JOB. i used t use thos too, theres lots of pics in my thread. but im stuck on my aerocloner now its sooo much less maintenance, i only have to see them 1x a week now lol. i see them more but could leave them longer unattended than i ever could with my dome and tray, its been about 4 months now since i started ghetto aerocloning and i dont think ill ever go back..

It's fine to just leave it on until they root out. You will have to pop them out of the cell tray to check. I prefer to skip the tray completely. I dont like the cubes so close to the bottom heat and water. I just put a half inch of water in the bottom of the flat to keep humidity up and stabilize temps and then use a raised tray above that and just set rapid rooter cubes with clones upside down on it. It's nice because you can see the roots without messing with the plug and the cubes dont get waterlogged or such direct heat from the mat.

Just one day shy of two weeks post-cutting for these clones and they're into the Solo Cups:

I kno it's old but ya gotta love it. I'm battling the clone curve rite now as well. So much to when and WHEN to apply what ones learned.
