I was doing good with the Indica, but had a week straight of 40 degree nights, and it didn't develop until about 4 days after the cold snap otherwise I would have corrected the problem right away, but that's what happened to my fan leaves, got phosphorus locked out due to the cold.

jpeg666 from wat i understand 12/12 from seed is not a bad idea but i will let you know how mine turn out and keep me updated on yours...and imchucky666, i have been wondering the same with my plants if i should have did a couple weeks veg or not but i guess i wil see at the end when i harvest....all we can do is live and learn and try new things rite?

Ya, best time to try is now, with bagseed, so you have all the 'dos' and 'donts' straight for when you put money out for seeds.

Do you always grow outside? How come you didn't bring em inside you knew how cold it was ?! Lol!

So I am going to do extensive product testing when I get my harvest of seeds from my flowering females. I did just start 14 seeds and 12 of them popper and are coming up, I figured while I have baby developing seedlings I would test some rooting products. For the sake of consistent results I need to use multiple seedlings per product so I can only test a couple products on these 12 That popped up.

I lined up all my "Root development" Products Here's is what I have in my collection.

I haven't decided which ones I should use. I guess I could use 3 plants per product then I could use 4 Products, Or I could only use 2 plants per test and use 6 products but the results might be a little less accurate.

Well I would test the least amount at a time. From there I could determan what ACTUALLY makes a difference. That way I don't have to buy every single bottle every so often and cut back on what I really need, save time money, and... Well time is money for most of us so.. You get my point though I hope?

Ya, I knew it was cold, but when the cold snap first started, they gave a growth spurt.
It took a few days for the slowing of the growth and the blackening of leaves to show.
That didn't come right away, but as soon as I started, I asked about it, thinking it was either due to cold OR phosphorus deficiency, and Scroglodyte pushed my theory, and told me it was phosphorus def. DUE to the cold, so I have been bringing them in at night since.

Whatever you end up using, a suggestion.........
Number your pots, and make a list somewhere you won't lose it (like I would lose ) to help keep track of what you use on which plant.

I have tried 18 different strains. Of those I have tried 4 12/12 from seed and from rooted small just rooted that is, clones. Now, read lots of things on this but I have a perfect grow area and perfect everything but no added co2. If you don't add that u can kiss a good grow goodbye if you want to go 12/12 from seed. It is a waste of time. If you have such limited space get an auto strain. The other way does not, will not, won't work. It is nonsense!!! I get 8 zips out of a big 38" plant and only if I don't crowed them to much.. A plant can't put out bud with no roots. And one that is a seed is not ready to bud or even grow yet. I want to see one real grow with any decent result from seed to bloom with no time inbetween. Lots of liars on here too. Will show you a grow and say it is seed to harvest no veg but it is bs... I used 2k hps, air temps at 79, rez temps at 78, rh at 50% and co2 air exchange 3 times per minute for whole room. Hell I don't even bother until they are 13" tall. Have even tried a great strain at 4 inches tall and lots of roots and that was still a waste of time. GL but don't listen to the morons on here. An auto like NL x BB is a great choice for your needs.. In two months from planting you will have usable bud... And if you are lucky they will turn purple..

i am on my first grow and read alot about 12/12 from seed and i love the idea...who else grows 12/12 from seed and what are your opinions? love to hear some replies and comments on the thread...thanks mates

Would 12/12 take long to veg and flower? Mine are on 17/7 and doing just fine. I'll stick to that

Thanks man, Now that I know what to expect, I'm thinking about trying a stealth grow over the winter, but next year I will start my outdoor plants earlier, veg them for a bit, and see what happens that time around.
