She is out of the hospital. She is able to walk, real slow though.
That is amazing, it hasn't even been 24 hrs since operation.

Hey I survived!!!! Pretty sore never hurt this bad before. I want to thank you all for you thoughts and prayers!!! Please keep them coming I am going to need them it looks like for a legal battle now what I did wrong I don't know I use all my meds responsibly. I feel the fog had a lot to do with it but I should have probly should have slowed down a little more. All I remeber is looking at the speedometer and when I looked up there was a red light out of nowhere and a SUV stopped. I stood on my brakes and just slid due to wet road conditions. Again thank all of you for your support!!!!

Rest now. You do need a good lawyer, but not right away. Given your surgery, and the time the judge should allow you to retain GOOD legal counsel that should give you some time. A public deffender should be able to help you with making these motions to get some extra time. The DA my offer a resonable deal if not, fuck her or him. Fight fight and make the state spend as much as you can lol. Either way keep us posted and take it slow and be hopeful.

You have Crohns: it is one the specific illnesses mentioned in the MMMAct.
Explain that you have to use MM every evening, and that medical use has nothing to do with the accident.
Tell them in hindsight if you had anything to do over again you would have driven slower.
Tell them the fog got thicker quickly and the next thing you know you see red lights and try to stop car before collision.
Tell them you were not 'partying'.
Tell them you are not a criminal for having MM in your system.

How can anyone prove how "high" or "impaired" a medical marijuana user is?
If we test high even without using because of the high doses we require that doesn't prove we are impaired.
It just means we test 'high' whether we are or not.

Belle & Glad, this group may be able to help you. I know Vic personally and many times he has shown to know much more about our law and how to work the legal system than the lawyers! Vic has been involved since the beginning in respect to the legal aspect of the Michigan Medical Marijuana Act. He is a patient and a caregiver. Me personally, I would discuss my case with Vic before choosing a lawyer. This is the only contact information I have for their group. Please consider them an option for some advice at least.

Glad you are okay and didn't kill anyone in the SUV. Maybe you should reconsider using meds and driving, especially in bad weather conditions. We do have a moral obligation to society not to risk the lives of others while under the influence of any drug. I know I am going to take shit for this post but no one ever asked how the people in the other car were and if they suffered injuries.

You quoted Galdstoned! like I said no one ever asked about the other people, all to self absorbed with the person who caused the accident also I would like to see the police report. And secondly this does not negate your responsibility to society to use your meds with respect to others.
