hey everyone,

I have a few indic a bb strain plants growing, this is my 1st grow, and when I transplanted them from seedling to veg I didn't fill up the vases (9 liters each) with dirt straight to the top cuz I was afraid they would not gain enough strength on the main stem and that I had to like "patch" each one with more dirt after so that the main stem will be actually stable.. it happens that they are very strong and healthy (or at least they look like xD) and now I think they won't grow or yeld as I was expecting cuz they don't have that much dirt under them for the roots to spread and so that they can grow more.. Basically there is 15% of dirt missing on each vase to fill it up completely, and I was just wondering what should I do, leave them alone, put more dirt above the actual one, or remove them and put more under, they are 3weeks old..

any answers would be appreciated, thank you :)

If you have any room between the current soil line, and your bottom set of leaves, I think you could just add soil for now, up to about an inch below the lowest leaves, and you will have some new roots start from the buried portion of the stem.
Then when you move up to next larger pot, remember that, and leave more room underneath.

Thanks for the answer, the problem now is that I wont be changing pots anymore, this 9liters pots will be the ones that will remain for the rest of their lives, so should I just put some more dirt above, or is it to dangerous to put under cuz their still young or something..?

I did same mistake. I didnt expect that soil will mash that much :) I know its bad to stress plants but I took them out from pots and put more soil because lowest leaves already was ticking the edge of the pot and I just could not put soil on top. Hopefully that didn't stress my babies too much assuming that day grow size. :)
My babes was same like yours - 3weeks old ;)
I'm just near going noob..

Just yank them out, put the dirt in the bottem put them back in.. a little extar top coat of dirt, water and forget. Really thats about how long it would of taken me to do it. Its a fricken plant, its not a baby panda.

Ya, just tip them and remove gently, add soil under then put back, they will be fine.
