Okay, planning on 4000watts air cooled, with CO2 generator, dehumidifier, with lights running at night. Do I have any shot at staying at 85 degrees with no AC?I've never used 1000s so I don't know how hot they run.
Thanks for the response man. I'm gonna run a test run soon but haven't gotten to it yet. I'm gonna look into some chillers.maybe if you live up north and using that cold winter air to cool your lights and you don't have your ballasts in the grow room. but them co2 generators put off heat to you can probally get away with a cheap window a/c but you can do a dry test just run your room with every thing on 12/12 to see if your temps don't get too high but your co2 genorator will be running a lot more with the plants in it. but no way in hell could you run that room in the summer with no a/c or chiller.
Yeah, sorry about that. The room is a room within a room, sealed 12x12. Outside air may be a problem, I'll likely have to cool the hoods with air from the space outside the room.cool the light with outside air and let it exaust outside the room...free warm air...you have a carbon filter?you need to provide more details on size of room ect ect
Yeah, I know all of this, but was hoping beyond hope that maybe I wouldn't need an AC. I've never vented lights before, never had lights on at night, and never used 1000W lamps, so I'm ignorant to just how much heat all of this would generate. And I hate the thought of a CO2 bottle; I really don't want to have to deal with refilling it so often, I think it looks suspicious. For sure u will need an a/c. Consider using bottle co2 instead of a generator. If your not air cooling your lights u will need a 16- 24k btu a/c. A totally sealed room that is being co2 enriched main function is an a/c and co2 enrichment function.
That's a ton more space with only 1200 more watts. If I had that type of space I think I would be fine too.i got 6 adjust a wings 4 1k's and 2 6's in a 500 sq ft. area with no AC.. i love winter.
CO2 is a must and outside air is probably not gonna happen, but thanks for the advice and if you have any other ideas let me know.you would need to pull alot of cold air in from outside and blow the heat out.. probably a constant exchange.. co2 is probably out of the question. but you can get by without an ac for shure
No I can't. But thanks fellas, it looks like I'm gonna have to go with an AC. I'm gonna try and get away with a 10,000-12,000 BTU.Can u get 4 digis and bump em down to 600's?
Most definitely. I run 2 1000w's in a 4x8x7 with 48F intake air, 400cfm in, 400cfm out and i still bearly manage 80 stable.depends on size of room, either way you need to exaust air from the top of the room/cab and intake from somewhere on the ground to keep hotter air movingout and cooler air moving in
