Legallyflying, I'm under the impression that when you use co2 you can run average temps of 85-95 degrees f. ...that's 10 to 15 degrees above normal optimal temps..im guessing a burner would require a higher btu a.c. to compensate for the extra heat generated...would a bottle of co2 work better for the size of his grow? Never used co2 so I'm just stating what I've read in the past...I feel a bottle would be best suited for a medium size grow like the one legal is putting together..at least in an effecient perspective...

you can not run 1600-1800w on a single circuit. rule of thumb is 75% of amp load for breaker.
and there are good inverter mini splits that need no special tools or technicians, completely plug and play.

Wait, we talking circuits now? Yeah you can operate at that temp, but when I finished the cycle in the cooler range I had much better results. Could be strain? Could be the fact that I also raised the lights? Who knows really I have a thread about using a tankless hot water heater for co2 production. Bottles are a HuGE pain in the ass dude, believe it! If your running 4k watts the. I would say tankless hot water heater. If you have the hoods all ducted and what not already then cool but I recently discovered the joy of saying "fuck all that bullshit" and just turn the AC on.

I was giving specs on listed materials,but as a safe measure,superstoner is correct..and I do know minisplits now come precharged,but take into account the need for a reliable a.c. unit,id rather not gamble,since I know nothing about a.c.'s on a technical scale and would want to be 100% certain things work...if its simpler than I think that would be awesome, I have been considering one for my room....have you installed one or know how intensive it is to have it installed?

i installed my minisplit completely, save for paying a guy $60 to vac the lines and check pressures(it came precharged). some now have quick connect fittings and lines are charged and sealed so it is simple. you can actually disconnect the lines, move locations and plug it back in.

Its a pretty easy deal. You pop in a new 15 aamp breaker in your box, run 12/2 wire and then once you get outside the building, the cable goes inside flexible water tight conduit and feed into a little "hot tub disconnect" which is just a little metal box with a cut off switch (well, its not a switch but a big fuse like thing you pull out). From here box, the cable runs to the condensor unit and will power everything. You drill a big hole in the wall to pass the copper cooling tubes and wall unit power supply through. Hook everything up and if you have the disconnect lines...just connect them. If you don't have the lines then you MUST hire an HVAC guy to vaccum the line set..or buy the stuff to do it yourself. THis is a critical step or you will destroy your mini split. THe whole process takes about 2-3 hours if you have decent tools.

Yea, see the problem is my grow is in an old house with two rooms and the living room as a work area..there is no way I could have an hvac guy in there...

So if I have the lines and its precharged though I can do it myself as far as hooking it ALL up and functioning fully,or I WIL have to get an hvac tech to vaccume the line? If so should I go with a smaller btu unit than the one I have now(dual tube) hoping the mini split is way more powerful...

Yeah. You don't need to vaccum the line set of the quick disconnect ones. Ideal air is one, and CAP is another. Or maybe CAP markets ideal air.
