2. Racism will always exist in some ways. Thick skin goes a long way. Black comedians make white jokes in almost every act, if it is funny, I laugh as do most other white people. I dont know how to word it, but basically there is a pride that is missing that makes it OKAY. I will say, that is something that is caused by the way black people have been treated for generations. It has been ground out of them and passed on generation to generation and is slowly coming back. Until it does, racism will not be "defeated".
3. Every race, religion, creed, etc.etc. at some point has been conquered and enslaved by some other race,religion, nation, etc.
It was the way the world worked for 1000s of years. It just so happened that the most prominent, wide-spread, legal slavery was Africans. Slavery is still going on to this very day, funny you dont see African Americans taking up the cause to root it out.

basically...

1. blacks should be happy we enslaved them and brought them here. slavery was a blessing for them.
2. blacks need to grow thicker skin.
3. blacks are hypocrites and need to move on.

Slave owners don't necessarily need to be racist.

Just because you consider one class as slaves isn't to say you hate black people for the colour of their skin. That's illogical and a false equivalency.

As a white male who cannot have had a familial involvement with racism in America, what do I need to do to not be lumped with the racists, either overt or cryptic ... and be granted full stature in the dialog?
