I do not agree this is gossip. People talk about all kinds of stuff with other people. It is called sharing, chatting, talking, shooting the shit, whatever LOL. I don't think there was any malicious intent, in him telling others.
He was freaked out so of course he is going to share this with others in my opinion. I would too.
No different than right now, all of us talking about this. Do you think this is all gossip? If so, this entire site is full of it then.

It's gossip as it's talking about someone behind their back, not sports or politics. Yes I know players and politicians but I don't go around talking about my or people's personal experiences.

I work in the back with a Mexican who knows 0 English and a deaf guy, think I don't get frustrated? I don't feel the need to tweet my emotions to what happened to me that day. Maybe it's just me or we have different definitions of what's considered gossip but I could get in a physical fight and not tell anyone about it, you are right tho, people on here gossip about their day all the time (just like this thread) or the guy who saw the kid yell and yank on his dog's leash or when Urca saw that woman getting beat and both of them rather tell us about it than take action. Respectable reaction, Bud is acting like the dude grabbed his ass and like Fdd exaggerated calling it groping. The guy had an experience, apparently personal and couldn't keep it between him and the new guy that he just had to tell the guys about, to me that is legitimate gossiping.

if it was so innocent, why the need to keep it a "secret"?

I didn't see the part where Bud pulled away, and even gossip..I mean hiked about the experience with his buddies so then everyone can judge him on only that. I doubt that was intension but humans are always evaluating people on first impressions.


Again, people who are truly like that are easy to see and would have pulled away the first split second. I don't care for a guy to randomly or hug me in general either but I wouldn't make a big deal about it in front of everyone, but yes that is just my opinion.

First impressions can and often do save lives. Our minds are complex things and we don't even fully understand them and their workings yet. This guy came outta left field imo. Completely, given the totality of the circumstances. Guaranteed he wouldn't have lasted anyway. Is he the type to possibly commit workplace violence as was suggested earlier? idk. But as for me personally, i'd want to know that someone was coming from left field and to keep my head up and eyes open.

Even one of your friends at work could be the nut job, we don't always show our emotions so it's really arrogant to say "well that guy is just weird, prolly a psychopath, when he's just being genuinely nice. Several coworkers witnessed this. Not like it was gonna stay quiet.
