You make them the same way, same wrapping with the same wax backboard. Sure they may taste a little different but that doesn't offset the price.

You also make Frosted Mini Wheats and the Malt-o-Meal knockoff for roughly the same price. But because of brandname and possible better quality ingredients, they sell smaller ammounts of the FMW for more $ than the bag of M-o-M.

No more $3 wonderbread, try $6 if you want to save the company and all those jobs. C'Mon folks, pony up. We can save this company and all the employees if we just dig a little bit deeper. Who is with me?

FYI The workers don't lose their pensions, just the $3/hour they were donating for the last year. If you worked there for 20 years, you still have 19 years of pension money in there. Some consolation though when you have to go on unemployment.

Do you really think a company that goes belly up is going to honor a pension??

If so, i've got a bridge in San Fran I can get ya a pretty sweet deal on.

They're going to pocket the money they were suppose to be paying back the PFs with, not honor the original commitment, and then sell off the names for Twinkees, Zingers, HoHos, etc. one by one and clear a huge profit. Payback the shareholders, fuck over the employees.

How can you sit there and call workers' greedy while execs sit back and make millions doing nothing? And yes, I mean nothing. Because obviously they failed at the assigned task of running the company if for the last 8 years they've been doing so poorly that a situation like this arose (which sounds fishy too me anyway, more pocketlining probably).

If those workers' showed up and didn't perform their "easyjob", they would be fired. If they let the line fuck up or didn't perform their job up to standard they're done. So why should these rich ivy league douchebags get to completely butcher this company and still keep giving themselves raises and bonuses?

18,000 workers out on their ass at the holiday season and you look to them for someone to blame instead of the guys' handing out the pinkslips and pocketing all the money. Smh.

You do know that the execs. can't just steal their pensions, don't you?
In July of 2011 we received a letter from the company. It said that the $3+ per hour that we as a Union contribute to the pension was going to be 'borrowed' by the company until they could be profitable again. Then they would pay it all back. The Union was notified of this the same time and method as the individual members. No contact from the company to the Union on a national level.

This money will never be paid back. The company filed for bankruptcy and the judge ruled that the $3+ per hour was a debt the company couldn't repay. The Union continued to work despite this theft of our self-funded pension contributions for over a year. I consider this money stolen. No other word in the English language describes what they have done to this money.

there are probably 1 or 2 maintenance guys for ever couple hundred line workers. most those employees are mindless drones. i did production work for HP, among numerous other companies. it's really doesn't take much intelligence to do any of that type of work. half the employees at HP were temp workers.
Half the employees or more at many companies are temps.

FOUR20 is insinuating that the execs are going to keep the rest of the pension money.

No. What i'm saying is that instead of the company honoring it's obligation to payout they opted to give the top tier raises and fold up shop.

The execs didn't steal the pensions and go make money piles. They already had those from the previous 8 years of pillaging.

What they did was killoff 18,000 jobs in this country because they're greedy and wanted to cut employee salaries/benefits rather then not buy that 3rd Benz for Xmas.

Typical Wall St. scumbag manuever.

I'm doing the same thing you're doing. Posting. And yet only one of us is supposedly wasting time...hmmmm...

It's just I have an opinion and express it. Unlike you.

All you've done is say "that's the way of the World toughshit", and I keep saying that if enough people feel like you then we're all fucked. The world needs leaders, not doormats.

And did you really use the rubber-and-glue approach to try and flip that? Come on man...I thought being old meant you had time to add to the repertoire of snappy comebacks. You're straight gradeschool with it!

So sad that you bought the company line so easy.

You keep saying the same BS, so I keep having to make the samepoints. Go back and do some reading, save us all some typing.
