And you install window blindsyou are definatly overpaid for your skill-less professionYour wages should be cut
I agree. I am ridiculously overpaid for my time and effort. The big difference is I set my own compensation level, not some boss. That compensation is obviously based on what the market will allow, which is the point I've been making. I make about $475 profit on a 20 window home for blinds, about three times that for shutters. My total time is about two hours, including the consultation and installation for blinds and about five hours for shutters. I take around fifteen jobs a month, I could have triple that if I actually marketed myself and wanted to work that hard, I don't. I fell into this shortly after I retired. I mainly do it for stockpiling silver and gold coins and so my wife will let me stay retired.

Whatever happened to
You made a promise to me as an employee, And I loyally worked for you for years of my life I can never get back and now you want to go back on your obligations, promises and contracts. All while enriching yourself at the expense of my labor and lifespan?
The Japanese had such a career culture. Their perma-recession broke them of it. cn

No, I quoted your answer to show that you're lying about why you're here. You didn't come for any reason other than to tell people how foolish they were for debating. Which is a pretty stupid reason to go to a forum, don't you think?
son, you got me all figured out.

Fuck this little pissing match though, because it's detracting from the conversation. Kelly4- Do you honestly believe the company should be able to side-step it's contractual obligation to employees', and then turn back around and clear huge profits from selling off the brands' they own all while pocketing the difference?
talk about a dead horse.

Under the new climate set by the current administration? You betcha. Just like the investors in Chrysler who were thrown under the bus, legal contracts ignored, all so the unions could be rewarded for their support. Karma Is a bitch.

And you will get yours and come crying here about the people that took your ignorant job

I guess the obvious answer for you, if you're bored of the topic, is to leave the thread.

Seems pretty simple.

You're more than welcomed to stay, but if you don't find any interest in the discussion then I don't really see a good reason for it.

I have NO IDEA what you're talking about. I don't have a job, I own a small business. Do you understand the distinction? If someone out there can put up a desirable product with an acceptable level of customer service for a lower price, then they deserve every customer I lose to them. But your premise is flawed, I AM THE SPOILER. I'm taking business away from the brick and mortar stores that charge significantly more. It's their own fault, they load themselves down with overhead that I don't. Franchise fees, contributions to national advertising, overpriced local advertising, commercial space, a fleet of vinyl wrapped vehicles, fuel and on and on. My overhead is gasoline and web hosting at $7 a month, that's it. I'll be doing this as long as I care to.

AKA you have nothing left to contribute but you're going to keep on till you get the last word.

The reason i've had to repeat myself on certain things these past few days is because people disagreed with my opinion and I went back and tried to restate myself so I could be more clearly understood. That's how debates work man, if you don't care for it or you're bored by it then by all means don't read it. I get kinda tired myself when I see people drone on and on about how greedy unions are, and then completely ignore the people sitting up at the top who are the ones really getting rich. Why is it cool for boardrooms to steal, and criminal for breakrooms to unionize? I admit at times my tone and language weren't up to standard and it detracted from the conversation, but the basic premise is this;

Myself and a few others think the problem lies with management.

Other people feel differently.

Like I said, that's how debate works.

Is anyone going to change anyone else's mind? Doubtful. Because at this point people are so polarized against one another that it all starts becoming Who said it, not What they said. And in that sense maybe you're right and the convo is pointless now, but if you follow that logic too far you kinda shit on the whole idea of a forum.

I really don't care if you want to bang old ladies bro, it's kinda weird that you put it on the net like that but to each his own.

What I think is really goin on here is that you know you can't contribute to the original topic and decided to run with this because I called you out on the fact that you live in your mom's basement.

But I digress.

Ok, so you admit it's not fair. And then what? Hindsight is 20-20, so of course they SHOULD have seen it coming but they didn't.

My original point is this; you can't absolve the company simply because "life sucks". The deterioration of society starts when average people throw in the towel and say fuck it.

I know getting on here and "bitching" doesn't do much, but honestly man? I'm pissed off.

I'm tired of feeling lied to and fucked over at every turn by every person who has the ability to do so. Corporate, political, religious. All pressure from all sides at all times now it seems. And this forum is pretty much the only real avenue to vent on because there is usually a sizeable collection of likeminded and equally disheartened people on here.

If you were joking and I didn't catch it, then that is my bad and it wouldn't be the first time I misread something like that. It's hard to scale down debate-mode when you go into it, something i'm sure others here can relate too.

found it.

now get over it.

i'm trying to help you. it's what forums are for. :)

where did i say i didn't like it? i hear you loud and clear and i'm trying to help you. deep breathes, slow deep breathes. you're gonna be OK.
I don't remember asking for your help, but thanks though.

You getting on here and saying someone who has an opinion is "bitching" in little one-offs, while you yourself provide nothing of substance to the discussion, is laughable.

Try forming a whole thought first before commenting on mine.
