Holy Shit, my two surviving Sandstorms took off overnight like mother fucking BLAM and now one of them is larger than most, nearly larger than all of the other seedlings I have that were previously 3 to 4 times larger than it... I now understand why Cannabiogen say to give them a minimum of 30 days vegging under a light before switching to 12/12... they are slow to start and then as I said before mother fucking BLAM sudden growth explosion...

Yeah mate Ive slowed down and done more research before I go out and spend an arm n a leg for peanuts.Hey mate just thought I'd say don't forget about cooling and ventilation. When I stepped up from a 125w CFL to 400w HPS the main issue was HEAT and I didn't put enough funds aside for exhaust fans and air filters... So just an FYI as getting that hot stale air outta your grow will keep you plant happy, healthy and focused on bud production....
If you do have the funds, also think about getting an electronic ballast as it'll save you $$$ in the long run....
Had a look at some grow tents full kitted out in packages. They look like the best deal, comes with everything easy to put together and manage plus odor control
.Im a bit of a lazy prick so anything that helps the cause is good!
Only thing i really gotta think of is either soil or hydro, but most probably just stay soil. Easy to get and doesnt cost to much if i mess it up.
Ballast wise the one i seen in the package is a digital ballast that comes with both MH and HPS globes.

Theyve grown from 1 foot tall to 5 foot tall in 2 weeks... couldnt see that coming.
And it's not just heght thats fucked me, they're gown 4 foot wide as well. Just bushy as.

It is all over my light, it is lst'd and it's been topped lol... Beenn growing for 10 years and never lost one crop, so this is a first for me. Just a new strain that obviously goes nuts once switched to flower. Ive always gone off the rule of it'll stretch double to three times the size by the end of flower but this strain went from 1 foot tall to 5 foot tall in two weeks, just shot up and it didnt stretch much, it actually has really tight internodes so would have produced some massive bud i recon.

Gonna rip them up and chuck 4 clones in instead and flower straight away. Quick easy grow for a change.

Some of my recent buds and a purp from winter grow outdoors!
Also has anyone had problems with a sort of brown putty on buds before?
Im guessing it is some way to make the bud weigh more but i cant find anything about it. Its smeared all over these buds in this bag i got and they are almost rock hard, at the bottom there was some of it not stuck on bud and i put it under the micro scope.. Its just looks like a brown putty or oil almost. Anyone ever seen this before?

no! heaters in the res is not recommended unless your in an incredibly cold environment. a lot of people use chillers to keep res temps down but i have had good results with just bennie tea to keep roots healthy.

you guys do dwc? can you help with a question or throw us a link about oxygen levels.....how can you tell if you havnt got enough air in the buckets? if i have minimal air pumped in and my moms are growing albeit slowly..if i add more air will i get more vigourous growth?.... cheers

i started with flora nova. i reckon the 3 part flora series is better.
the PH buffers are better in the 3 part and it seems to be more easily absorbed too. although the Flora nova isnt as "hot" and wont burn your plants as easily.
i was always getting signs of too much N during flower with the flora nova and being a one part you cant tune it down. now i run flora 3 part at 3-2-1 in grow and in flower i run 1-2-4 and my results have been much better.
