Teleportation, Discovered

It would be the Christians turn at rapture. The "mark" of the beast (tattoos), the sin of suicide and defying death. The "Rapture" would be them dying of old age. The jews already got a Apocalypse. Marks of the beast (serial numbers), and the Germans raptured the shit out of them.

Maybe get a tattoo every day.

How do you know it's you and not a clone with an identical tattoo?

How do you fundamentally know it is "you" waking up any day? What is the difference between "you" and an identical (perhaps the exact same) body and a brain with the exact same memories and structure? How do you ever really know if you are the same person, or just a series of new blank people implanted with a cumulative memory of finshaggy every time you wake up? Does it even make a difference?

I personally wouldn't sign up for this shit, but I guess that's a risk you'd have to take, and it really is a clone waking up. You would have to live with the fact that you stepped into a booth and let yourself die, knowing you would wake up though, for the ability to no have to wait to travel through the thing we call "space".

Even cloning aside, when you go to bed at night and lose track of time for 8 hours, then wake up, how do you know it's actually YOU that is waking up? What is is exactly that makes it YOU? If I made a perfect clone of your bed, and you, and your brain, so that two finshaggys woke up and had identical bodies, and identical brains down to the neuron level, how do you know which one of you is the REAL you? You both have identical physical structures, with identical brains and memories. From each of your perspectives you are the "real you", because you are experiencing your real life with real memories, but so is the other one. How do you know "you" doesn't simply die off every night, and a new "you" wakes up with all the same memories and shit making it indistinguishable from the other "you"?

Well I hope not, because I do eventually want to die one day and figure out if anything happens next. I think we wake up and think this life was ridiculous to hold on to and it's jut way better to be in empty space. Your consciousness probably just creates its own world since there is no more input.
