Homebrewer isn't the only one that really likes Dyna-Gro there are many. A former AN rep who's tried them all uses Dyna-Gro. Heath Robinson who's grown trees that hit the ceiling used Ionic. I'm not sure it should make a big difference with decent nute brands in a dialed setup, something like strain, environment and grow method would though.

On another note Irrigation Direct has supplies for hydro that are less than half the price of the other hydro stores online. Their poly drip tubing is more stiff though than Hydrofarm's but dirt cheap.

LMAO! i'll give you all the info you need. since you are new to growing then go right ahead and use DG. it's like paint by numbers; simple and easy. when you have a few grows under your belt and want to increase your yield and quality then you should start experimenting with other product lines cause DG is baby food basically. i'm not trying to grow babies anymore. i want linebackers on steroids.

seeds are sprouted. popped 10 bubblegum and 10 sour diesel. gonna do 4 of each with dyna and 4 of each with AN. keep 1 of each as a mom. it is going to be EPIC. lol.

i got them from a friend in Cali. not sure where he got them from. they are S1's for sure though. he's the best grower i know and taught me a lot. he's partnered with Soma on a lot of projects.

can't lie, if it wasn't for the ease of use, i don't think i would continue using the dyna gro. don't get me wrong, it works and is very user friendly (definitely would recommend it for those that are just starting out), but i've ran 2 x's that i use the dyna gro on and gh 3part and the 3 part has it beat. i sit and think about my first 2 grows with the 3part, which was to bad runs, and the 3part produced more trics and denser buds with these crosses than the dyna gro.

but to be fair, i was using they're whole line up at the time and following their feeding schedule so maybe it could be all the additives i was using that was aided in forming denser buds and extra trics.

i am finally going to do a side by side gh 3part with useless formula (no additives is required when using this formula) and dyna gro and determine which is best.

well here's some pics for you good peoples. the last one is one of the crosses i used both nute companies on and it yielded 3+oz in a 2.5 gallon pot on a very bad day and if dyna gro doesn't match it or out do the 3+ oz, i think that will settle it for me right then and there.

back to the topic of discussion, yeah you definitely have some valid points and so does HB, so not going to take anything from either of you. from my experience, the gh line up definitely performs better than the dyna gro in every aspect so far. i mean even down to the terpenenoids. that last plant thats in the photos, just one plant at 27", had the whole crib and front yard stinking, but this time around no where as loud as the last time. the plant is twice as healthy this round too. nuggies was rock hard look like they were sporting diamonds.

however, i did use six bottles of gh compared to 3 bottles of dyna gro. this round it's either going to be the 3part, useless formula without any additives vs dyna gro or if i do decide to use additives i will apply it to both nutrients solutions to keep things fair.

oh forgot to ask, what do you really think about the secret recipe? would love to hear your take on it.

yeah i seen you mention that fact. i got some chemmy jones going on 8wks and they have little to no smell to them too, the only strain that i running that is like that. im thinking that being you're experiencing the same thing its definitely not me.
right now they are being flushed but before that they were perfectly healthy, besides the wind burn from being next to the fan.
tbh, the buds looks real nice and crystally but besides the generic rotten smell i don't see me running the clones i have of them at this point. luckily they're coming down this week and i should be able to get an idea of the smoke very soon. if they would have taken any longer, at this point, i would discard the clones of them.

o shit i was curious about the chemmy jones too thats supposed to be connoisseurs biggest yielding strain. definitely let me know how potent it ends up being. the thing i dont understand is they mainly work with chemdawg but these 2 strains dont stink thats why im a little worried the secret recipe might not be as good as i think it is. i got some federation island sweet skunk to pop next and i know for sure that shits gonna reek and be potent as hell. i cant wait to compare both. the problem is its hard to find the right strains online cause alot of people have no idea what the hell there talkin about. every strain i run wastes months so it kind a sucks. hopefully someone i met online can come through with the chem d clone like he's supposed to then i wont have to worry about finding a strain. these guys that get the clone only's got the life

nah, i don't think your blowing anything out of proportion. if anything, i think there are too many fans and not enough critics. another x i did that everyone is going crazy over is ogr and how he produces nothing but fire. i did his fire alien strawberry (3 different phenos) that were mediocre at best. they had the smell and looks, but the smoke wasn't even worth selling.

for real your 100% right. my plan is to run iss if im not happy with that im gonna try stardawg. from what i hear stardawg is supposed to yield more than the chem d clone and be just as potent. i guess we know how that goes though wont know until we grow it ourselves. im glad i bumped into you hear fresh cause were on the same page i trust your judgement on strains now. how many different strains have you grown and what was the best all around so far? have you tried reservoir seeds, top dawg, or mosca?
