First ATTEMPT at WAX/BHO/BUDDER/ETC. wtf happened?

Whats up guys, I recently bought a G pen because I love wax and its very convenient on the go. However, I refuse to pay 45-60 for a gram. So I decided to try and make some wax. Heres how it went..

Bought 1 ft. of copper tubing 1" wide. Copper Cap for one side. Brown (unbleached) coffee filters. and a hose clamp. I also bought Neon 5x Butane.
I used 1/2 oz of bud trim of some kush.

First I used tarn-x to get the tarnish off the copper tubing. (I read that you were supposed to do this when using a copper pipe)
After cleaning the pipe I put it all together and packed it full of the trim. packing it down slightly after every cup.
I used 2 coffee filters and clamped them down with the clamp.
Ran the full bottle of butane through the trim (300ml) and ended up with a sort of green/yellowish liquid.
I let the butane evaporate for a while without stirring or anything of that nature. (yes i did this outdoors!)
After I felt it was evaporated enough to go indoors I put it on my electric stove on low heat.you couldn't even really see anything, i figured it didn't work...

after a minute this stuff began to look like this-

BUT IT REEKED LIKE BUTANE. I let it bubble up and i'd mix it. Then, I let it air out overnight and the next morning it STILL smelled like butane. but I scraped it all together and ended up with this.

after it still smelling like butane i put it back on the heat. (the next day) and it looked like this.

still reeking of butane.. I didn't want to smoke it. every time i put it back on the heat the pile of whatever it is... gets smaller. it doesn't smell so much like butane now. But since it doesn't look like any wax i've ever smoked, i didn't want to smoke it. its consistency is like a corn syrup... any ideas as to what I did wrong? Anything is MUCH appreciated!

honestly, because it didn't look right to me... i haven't smoked it. I thought perhaps the tarn-x contaminated it somehow... (even though i washed it thoroughly) I might take a hit of it tonight after seeing what people think.. thanks for the input!

and by too much contact with plant material... is that something i could of done different? the way i packed the tube or anything? or is it just that the trim i used was practically crap?

When copper reacts and oxidizes it often turns geen like that, i would guess the butane extracted copper or chemicals because it wouldnt be chloryphyll. Dont use metal tubes...

I dont want to scare you...it this may very well be a myth..but it also may be true. I heard that you can get "lock jaw" from smoking out of coppers pipes, something in the copper. I would research it though if i were you

Whatever, I use foodsafe plastic tubing, 2 screw on caps and some zip ties. It only exploded once due to pressure, now I make sure to keep the zip ties on tight. I know it's ghetto, but it works. Check out my thread on the perfect bho recipe if you have a lot of trim. Cheers dude

I don't worry much about quantity . I could do 12 zips in 12 hours and not have to run to the store for more butane OR call the fire dept.

u can do 3/4 lb in 12 hrs congratulations ur plaque is on the way i can run that much in about 30 minutes. fuck running to the store i have a car. If u r worried about buying more gas how many cases of it did that extractor cost?? when made properly OUTDOORS i consider the dangers of open blasting very minimal

i am confused tane is 25-40 a case u talk about 12 oz in 12 hrs thats one case of gas like i said that doesnt take very long to blast thru. whats the point in taking all day to save a little money? dont understand your economics 12 hrs of my time is worth a lot more than a case of gas

here's my econimcs buddy, the goddamn device possibly paid for itself the first time I used it. keep considering dangers of blasting with a flammable gas minimal and you might reconsider one day, good luck and happy religious holiday,

is it just me, or is there some hostility in here??? lol but FYI I didn't smoke any of this wax.. i used that tarnex to get the tarnish off the copper, and i was too scared that i would get cancer or something from the fumes... im thinking about going to Ice..
