first grow

okay well i am almost into week 6 of flowering. I have no clue what strain/type this plant is. was a random bag seed. i bought a little 60-100x microscope. My some of my trichomes are clear, foggy, and a few amber looking. so i don't know when to harvest. for a first time grower, i want to do it right. any tips?

Think another week ready to harvest?
 
It's my first indoor grow I have to plant they have been growing for- about 1an ah half to 2 months when when do I swich to 12/12 and how do I upload pics
 
i went to 12/12 4 weeks into veg. u can run veg for months if u want too. all depends on the size of plant u want. u can upload pictures with the Insert Image button next to smiley faces
 
I haven't checked your thread in a while, did a lil disappearing act myself. But damn i'm glad things turned out good, I remember when you were scared!
 
yeah i just checked out the trichomes lastngiht, from a few nods and from the kola. they are foggy and amber. so im going to check in a nother 4 days, and hope to be done. quit all ferts already so its flushed and ready for harvest. i hope to just get an half oz. anything over that is a plus :D
 
used an old cell phone charger, the one i have has an USB plug in, but im pretty sure any will work. it wont run at high speeds like on a pc. but does enough.

i figured out a simple thing to do. going to put a hold on the top of my over head, exhaust for heat with a 120mm pc fan.
 
also made me a little hiding spot / new grow set up.

going to put 2 120mm fans on the side with one on the back top. i dont grow trees so this will work perfect. going to line the inside with reflective then should be set.
 
not sure yet, we are still plan on moving soon. so might be a few months delay but yeah, girlfriend wants to give it a go also. she wants rainbow kush, im thinking of doing white widow. it would be a cool growing i think.
 
So i just got done looking at the trichomes, most are cloudy and amber, very few are clear. im looking for a mellow high, not too much couch lock. I plan on harvesting soon
 
So I harvest I ended up with 75g wet. That is .3g/w which is normal from what I've read. Got it drying in a shoebox hanging in the shoe box in a cooler area temp prob 60-70 tops. Hope to get. 50g when dry. Going to cure for 3 weeks before I even try it. Open the jar 1-2 times a week foe fresh air and reduce the chances of mold

I guess you lose like 75% weight when drying. You should get close to an ounce.

awesome either way it was free ;) i hope i get more tho, i like mine sticky so im only going to dry for 3 days then cure for 3 weeks. i havent added pics yet, but my buds look great. ill update pic in a few.
 
only the 2nd day into drying. smells pretty wet still.

it doesn't really have much of a smell. but then again the plant never really had a strong smell. maybe after the cure it will get a good smell?? idk but then again it was some random seed that was sitting on top of my frig for months. im excited to smoke it!

looking good and getting dry, almost 3 days now of drying. and its down to 28.3 grams now. which is about right. think another day or so drying and it will be ready to cure. it wasn't drying that fast in the box so i am going to put in brown paper bag and put shredded layers on top of it. for a day then it should be ready to cure in jars.

smoked a small bit today, still a little to wet. got a decent head change off that little bit. taste was something else, was tasty ;) cant wait for the final cured bud
