I'm thinkin about trying freezer cure this time... I'm a little afraid it will smell like a freezer, but I'm kinda willing to take the risk with at least some of my bud... because apparently it comes out pretty much perfectly cured with no effort what so ever... sounds a lot easier than juggling my fuckin' jars all the time, trying to make sure all the buds get aired out. What I need is bigger jars, lol. But I always end up working with what I've got instead.

But yeah I think I will do some one way and some the other and compare for myself... all the comparisons I've read about so far have been really pro-freezer curing. They basically said it's very effective but not necessary--that it makes sense in certain situations, like if you don't have a good cool place to dry... but it seems like a no brainer to me, because it eliminates the jar burping part all together. They come out of the freezer ready for jar storage. For me, personally, I see it as ideal just because I don't have to burp jars and I'm fuckin' lazy. And apparently it comes out just as good. People describe it as perfectly cured out of the freezer... crumbles nicely but still has moisture. Sounds too good to be true, I definitely want to try it. I'm going to tell my girlfriend we have to eat all the food in the freezer this month, LOL.

I can kinda see there being an advantage to being able to hand cure it to what the individual thinks is ideal, but every one is saying it's the "perfect cure" out of the freezer, so this I gotta see. Also, I don't have little individual jar barometers and this is cheaper than buying them... takes the guess work out of it for me...

I'm indifferent bout stank, just don't want to be burping jars every day. If I get my hands on some of those little tiny hygrometer pucks I'll do jar curing but I don't trust my "instincts" to feel it out yet. I'll try the freezer and see how that goes, then decide whether or not to order some pucks...

Where has this info been in my life:P....I love kiss systems, and this makes curing fucking easy. It makes total sense and I'm trying it on upcoming harvest no doubt

I'd rep + again....and again for this
Right? That's how I felt about it when I started reading about it. Fucking ingenious. I am allll about taking out as much of the element of human error as possible, lol. ESPECIALLY with my newb eyes, heh.

Hey we all gotta start somewhere right? Would probably work fine for veg or clones or mothers and really that's all you need is a place to keep your mothers healthy and just every 2 weeks pull new cuts.
good advice hate people coming in and saying throw money at it

Holy fuck I woke up to a blizzard this morning! Anyone else get hit with a storm? Fuck this shit its to god damn cold I had to kick all 5 of my heaters on to keep all my rooms stable :(

This winter is going to cost me an arm and an leg to run. Oh well it will be worth it in the long run.
omg five heaters what are you using i have one nice oil filled heater and it can heat a 20 x 20 room and it isnt a fire hazzard
i have it set to come on at 60f and let teh light heat the plants to 76 using a bathroom 70cfm going to need it today its going to be almost 70f insane for January worried i will have to put the ac back into the room and its January and they say global warming is fake

Yep that looks pretty packed, LOL.

Here's my room right now:

I will brainstorm tonight and take action tomorrow, one way or another.

I'm thinking maybe take the herijuana OFF a rolly all together, then scrogging out 3 on each, with the herijuana plant scrogged separately in the back under the last half-foot of T5's and the CFL's behind her (will rig a reflector if I do that, and add more splitters so they tilt out over the plant more)

Either that or I will just reduce the herijuana footprint and crowd her back up a little. I think I'll PROBABLY do the first option, as it would allow me to maximize footprint for all plants. I just might need to do a little more supplemental in the back for the herijuana.

Third option is, of course, just leave as is.
or you could turn them 45 deg angle so tehy are foced to grow up from teh angle it will get you a littel more space but not alot i say put a fan on teh lights and let them touch most of the heat should be in teh ballast so keep teh fan going over them if you know where they are in teh fixtures

I'm starting to believe that the aquariums bulbs are just NOT worth it anymore........Hyroot/luciuos have gone back to all white T5 6500/5000k and have the best results so far, I've pulled all my florasuns and put back the 6500k to compare growth rates....

http://www.420magazine.com/forums/plant-bud-photos/109010-diesel-ak-47-gracious-goodness-growing-under-2-quantum-t5-badboy-system.html one of the best T5 grows I've seen, he had a thread on RIU, can't find it..........but ran 6500k/2700k all white T5 bulbs straight through. Impressive!
i found the same thing

all i run is 5000k and some actinic blue in veg with great results, if i was flowering with em i would do all 5000k and maybe one or 2 6500k. or one of those and actinic.(out of 6 bulbs)
they say to do a mix of 6500 or 5k lights with 2700 lights for veg keeping a 2:1 ratio of blue to red and tehn for flower change to 1:2 of blue to red i have had great results from doing it less stretch more bushy! and keep teh cri above 90 (if you can) in the fluorescent bulbs

Decided to pop beans.. 4 rasp. cough and 1 auto sweet tooth.

I'm going to raise the seedlings in the mother chamber until they need to transplant out of solo cups... then I'm going to set up a temp. veg. chamber. I'm thinking I'll steal one of the 4-bulbs off the walls of the flower chamber to use for veg... I also have a couple free-floating fixtures, so i'll slap a couple 48" bulbs in it's place and let the wall mylar do what it can to reflect without angles. I'm not really worried about pulling two bulbs from the side lighting, as I'm not really impressed with what sidelighting seems to do for mid and lower cola development. I'll keep the two I replace the fixture with near the top. But overall, I'm fairly convinced it's all about individual tops. So now I'm planning ahead to getting things squared away for a solid scrog setup with the dome scrogs next run.

So they'll all veg. in there til flowering's done... (Should be about 1 month) To keep them down I'm thinking atleast two rounds of fimming all tops to help get them branching heavily down low. Maybe some lsting to get them used to a wide stance. Not the auto, just the others. Maybe supercrop the auto if needed to keep it low enough.

Hopefully with 4-5 weeks to kill in a temp. veg. chamber I can have them ready to start scrogging as soon as they can go into the main chamber, where they'll continue to veg and get worked into the dome scrogs over what will probably be one more month.

In fact, maybe even fuck a chamber, I might do my vegging out in the open, it's only temporary anyway. If i have to scramble and put them away on the fly it's no big deal, they won't get TOO big in the month they'll be out of the closet. Saves me the trouble of working on exhaust in the other closet. I can probably run the exhaust hose from the closet so it pokes under the light to keep heat from building there, too.

Haha... I'm attempting to reveal as little environment as possible while still showing you the pics, but you insist on pointing out what you can identify. ;) :tinfoilhat: I've accepted you know the wallpaper, LOL. hahaha.

Anyway yeah, they're looking good now, frosting up nicely. Big difference since the last viewing. Glad to see such development now.

I honestly don't mind trimming... I might try a cold water extraction for once, I have never done it that way. I've been dry sifting and occasionally doing ISO extractions, but I feel like I'd like to do butane or cold water extraction next time. I sort of want to learn to rip my own oil so that I can load my own portable oil-only vaporizers and enjoy dabs on a concentrate rig...
shit thats not as bad as some of teh phots i have seen with people holding buds with thier faces in view or the ones who take photos of the plants next to a fedex package that u can see teh address and names on

i personally will not post any photos on any forums because the data is all run thru the utah HDS center that records every data bit used on teh interwebs and tehy ahve a list they can see who is what ip address at teh tim eit was posted

yes i know its a stretch but better safe then sorry

They're doin' alright... I'm just gonna let 'em do their thing for now. I try to keep them from touching the bulbs as best I can. They've got a few burns, heh. I don't have the fannage to keep a fan on each set of bulbs really. I have one oscillating that sweeps them all from the end, which probably helps but doesn't keep them touch-cool.
