And can I keep one mother plant there if not two.
I would probably do 1, and LST it till it hits the back of the box.
Another thing Im thinking is that theres probably gonna be quite a bit of wasted space in the 5ft of Height u got.. you might wanna consider building 4-6 small shelves on the walls and place the HPS vertically so you get more crops/yield!? I honestly never thought about this till now lol.. but I think if done right, you could make more use of the flowering section. I'll probably think about it more tomorrow and do a quick diagram...

I clicked that link, but didnt read shit lol. The bonsai style does look cool tho. It should help a lot if you can get it right!
As for the cool tube.. I hope you got a Pyrex glass! Reg might crack or something...
No idea where to get ducting.. not even on my side lol.. What kinda fans you got? How you gonna use em? Inline fans work good!

Inline fans n ducting are hard to find here. Roamed the city for two days looking for them. I got two high power 6 inch 100 cfm CPU fans. The glass tube I got was removed from a incandescent lamp fixture so guessing it would take the heat. Thanks for the diagram man but I am afraid I already have only 3 feet of grow space. Leaving two for pots and light. If I intend to put shelves the plants under the shelves would suffer n I won't be able to do a scrog. Thanks anyways man for going through the work of illustrating.

peace.

ic ic. I just thought you could somehow add few more with the 3w X 2+h that will be left vacant above ur light fixture. That section should be good for what u doing tho!
And no problem man.. it took only like 5 mins and this stuff interests me as well. Just test the temps before you put any plants in there!

Picked up both 400 and 250 watt with a switchable ballast. It can run both. Wired it and ran it for two hours without the cool tube inside the cab and temps reached around 34 deg Celsius. Outside was about 24 deg. Din even have the exhaust running. So I guess I should be pretty much fine. What do u guys think?

Not bad bro! I'm sure you gonna need the fans n ducting once everythings in there tho. Winters almost over too.. probably gonna get much hotter in there. Good luck and post some pics when the box is done!
I wanna get some beans real soon too! Got a landrace Sativa in my balcony. Its doing good, but its a male.. You have any idea what strains I should look into for outdoor? Ima go through Elchup's thread some more for info.. I got plenty strains bookmarked, but I cant spend over $60-70, so I gotta choose wisely!

Its awesome to finally find some indian growers :D im pretty new at this, started my own plant from bag seeds in november and she's grown pretty big, but it was basically for experimentation and to learn as much as possible. Ive got 2 seeds - barneys farm liberty haze and dna genetics LA woman. My grow tent should be on the way soon. Im just having a really hard time finding good nutrients . i use cocopeat but i plan on ordering foxfarms ocean forest soil from amazon asap.

Btw blackhawk im really happy your from bangalore! can you tell me where you got those 250w and 400w hps lights and the cpu fans too.

^Sick! I planted my bag seed around 2 1/2 months ago and the thing has supprisingly grown real well! Shit.. I haven't shopped online in a few years, but wouldn't shipping for soil to India be pretty high?? I used the Fox Farm Ocean Forrest and their ferts when I was in the states.. Its all good stuff! I do think that there's enough down here to make ur own mixture pretty cheap, tho.

For pc fans. Try flipkart.

Btw u ordering ur tent n nutes from overseas. Won't u have to pay customs?

folks...i'd like to give my .02 over here on my damn thread ;)

indoors, here's about all i know -

i have a cabinet that's 25" x 20"x 25" (length x height x depth)
i have 5 (soon 7) cfls set up in there, 2 are 6500k, 36w, 2500 lm and the remaining 4 are
warm cfls, 28w, 1800 lm
i have 1 120mm cooler master fan drawing air from outside the cabinet (44.73 cfm) and
1 of the same for drawing air out as well as 4 pc fans for air circulation inside
not sure how my temperatures inside are exactly, but they're around the same as
my room temperature and it's been working, so no complaints.
for all outdoor growers who need a week or two for veg, i advise cfl over mh because
seedlings generally can't take the full brunt of an mh unless placed at a decent distance,
same goes for hps, and at that distance, it's no more efficient than a cfl, except the initial
cost is more. after a lot of searching, i did, however, find a shop that sells 50w, 75w, and
100w cfls, so for my next grow that starts in around april/may i'll probably buy 2 of the 75w
cfls so that i can keep the room a bit cooler and reduce the number of wires i have running.

for soil, you do NOT need an international brand. look around, we're a developing country.
everybody into agriculture uses organics 99% of the time because it's cheaper and easily
available. granted, organics for most farmers means cow/horse/sheep manure and a bit
of the bone/hoof/horn/anything-left-on-the-cow meal that comes from slaughterhouses in
kerala. you do get more than these though, and i've found a fairly good quality mix which
includes coco peat, perlite, neem cake, pongamia cake, castor cake, cottonseed meal,
bone meal, seaweed powder, vermicompost and biofarm (a commercial mix of composted wood-ash
and, primarily, manure). if you're willing to get your hands dirty you can get your manure
the good old way, but frankly this works easier for me (biofarm) than piling up shit
at my place to compost it. the ratio isn't too hard. a handful of each of the cakes/meals
per plant, APART from bone meal. bone meal here is VERY VERY nutritious but VERY
hot and strong, just about 1-2 tablespoons per plant should do it, more can be added
if necessary as top dressing. i also use rockphosphate but i figure i won't see the benefits
of it for a year or so by which time i'll be gone and the soil will be used to grow some
ridiculously beautiful orchids and berries then in my mom's garden
i skimped on the mycorrhiza because they fucking grow on the roots anyways, i think
things like mycorrhiza and trichoderma are ridiculous scams, they start
growing anyways!

if you're a chemical kind of person, check out gardenguru, it's an indian site that
provides hydroponic nutrients on demand, you have to order from their website,
i've just started trying it on some plants, too early to say anything.

well that was a bit more than .02 worth, probably more like a quarter, but w/e
man fuckkk that shit get bombedddd
my indian plant sowed in october is probably ~12 weeks into flowering i'm guessing
another month or so to go looking really nice, smelling very strong when ruffled,
no scent otherwise, but the minute you touch it or put your face near the buds
you'll get it. it hits. lol

If I use the recipie u mentioned here. Would I need to use any hydro nutes by flowering time or will plants be fine?
and any idea how's the bio farms flowering nutrient ?

Finally any idea where can I buy flexible duct pipe in Bangalore?

Thanks man.
