Day 26

ALL plants now showing preflowers, even the pathetic lil purple wreck runt. The AK48 is starting to bud up quite rapidly.

Gonna be starting on 1/6th stregth bloom natural with todays watering, along with the myco madness and honey ES as i have been doing already. Also will be starting on the structural integrity now, as im gonna have to pH balance this feed.

Imm deff gonna throw the PW away today, it hasn't grown in about a week even though it looks healthy, it just has no new growth areas whatsoever, and its just gonna be taking up nutes and water  bye bye little one

2013-01-06 11.47.56.jpg

next update mid week i guess, not much more to report up till then, now its just budding!! :weed:

p.s. i dunno if it really does anything, but yesterday i moved each plant so that every plant had a leaf tip touching another plant, so they might be able to 'talk' for some kind of unknown biological reason lol

EDIT: for some reason, it seems that the bloom natural nutes actually made the water MORE alkaline rather than more acidic. So i had to add loads of lemon juice, which was taking forever and i was running out of time, so used some hydroponic grade phosphoric acid, just a couple of droplets. Seems like i got around 6.5 pH in the end, but its hard to tell with these cloudy organic solutions with the colour charts. My first time with these organic nutes from humbolt, so ill prob get the hang of it soon. I also fed 5ml/gal of the bloom natural, so i basically went by the chart i posted on page 4, rather than 1/6th strength as planned, as a kind of experiment. If they nute burn ill be gutted but im sure they will be ok..... :leaf:

Im lookin forward to the AK48 and Sour kush the most, as i found out recently the sour kush has parents of OG kush and diesel :-P and the AK48 i grew when i was bout 18 in my mums garden but never got to smoke any of her so it will be a mission completed, she has parents of ICE and jackerer.
the rocklock has parents of warlock and rockstar, which have something like skunk #1, afghani, sensi star and rockbud.
the white rhino im not too sure about its parents, but there are supposed to be quite a few phenos in the nirvana stock. All nice and resinous tho so im not bothered which i get.
LA confidential is OG LA Affie x Afghani. Ive heard alot about the OG strains, so the sour kush and LA should be nice smoke

good to hear from you again Dameon, lemme know when ur up and running again with a journal :leaf:

Gone back to shop bought water, just because im trying to do organic and the chloramine must be stopping all my bacteria from growing. Used to have a green hue to the topsoil when i first watered these plants here, and that was with shop bought. Then at about 2 weeks i started leaving water out for teh chlorine to evaporate, but then the green hue disappeared, so im guessing its the toxic monochloramine they puttin in the water. So yeh, testing shop bought water at the moment to see if i get that green topsoil back, will post results when or if i see them lol :leaf:

new pics tomorrow, i need to lower the shelf the plants are on with the help of a handsaw. That ak48 is stretchin little bit by litlle bit by the day, so not long till shes too close to the light and burns.....really dont want that goin on again

Day 30

can't beleive its been a month! Times goes fast when your having fun

- lowered the shelf today, removed a desk fan and swapped with a PC fan, these things are amazing, provide good air power, they just sit up by themselves with no fixings and they are near to silent.

2013-01-10 10.31.07.jpglookin a bit wobbly, need to come up with a better solution before they fall over, soon!
2013-01-10 10.43.34.jpg2013-01-10 10.42.08.jpg2013-01-10 10.45.17.jpg22.5 C
2013-01-10 10.42.32.jpg New growth from where i FIM'd the white rhino (if anyone knows i did it wrong please lemme kno)
2013-01-10 10.42.42.jpgLA Confidential - showing preflowers but is not getting bushy at all, from what i have read i think she buds mainly to main stem
2013-01-10 10.43.02.jpgRocklock, side branches are growing out now and she is gettin taller
2013-01-10 10.43.15.jpgSour kush - branching out and gettin taller by the day
2013-01-10 10.31.38.jpgAk48 - budding up waaay faster than any of the other plants here, could be a good candidate for other 12/12 growers if u want a fast harvest?

Low nice set-up man! Plants looking awesome!
thanks man, im really happy how they are growing out so far. As long as they don't stretch too much now. They are all really starting to flower now, so i think in a couple weeks the pics should be gettin interesting, and the thc pinch test will commence lol

just my 2 cents worth buth those lights could be alot closer.. i had basically the same set up a couple of years ago and had some streching issues untill i kept the lights like 2/3 inches away from the plants and it made a huge difference...

the reflectors are doin a real good job of intensifying these cfl's, i would keep them 3" away constantly but its too much of a risk as they can suddenly shoot up in a day. Had that problem with my ULH last grow, she grew in one day about 3" and was touching the light. Top of the main bud = toasted :-( but yeah the level of the canopy i try to keep constant but with reasonable room for growth spurts :-) when they start reaaaaally budding up and i notice they are not gonna spurt any more, i will b abit more specific n try get each main bud 3" away, but wont b for another few weeks i rekon! thanks for your opinion tho :leaf:

Looking great man!

Btw did you keep the top part of the plant from topping? to clone?

Hope you get a great harvest!
nope no clones, as i only have this one cupboard, i would love a separate veg room for clones, because then i could start my early misty grow to harvest fem seeds! But alas, i think i will have to wait for another chapter to my lifes book.

this is from poping up out of ground, the seeds went into warm water on the saturday for a few hours, then transplanted to the foil covered sandwich box which i used to do the moist paper towels, then by sunday morning they were all in soil. They came above the soil on the monday :leaf:
