Signs of coldness?

How can you tell if plants are getting too cold?

A few seem to be drooping, which I REALLY hope isn't from overwatering / too little perlite.

What are the signs of too cold?

cannabis is a hearty plant and can take a cold spell pretty good but i wouldnt go less then 50F for too long otherwise other than changing colors and making purps more purple i dont think there is a sign besides ice.

I'm in the same boat with a couple of my ladies. 7 weeks in flower in my basement low temps and humidity at night. I have a blower fan in the bottom of my grow room.Last night I shut it off at lights out and the 2 plants that have the droops look a little better tonight. The 2 droopy ones were right in front of the fan. Maybe the roots getting too much cold air. I remembered 58 degree temps then add in the wind chill with the fan blowing on them. Hoping this solves my problem Maybe something for you to consider too. Good Luck!

Yeah, killed the fan, been using a propane heater, both so I'm not killing the power usage and to create CO2. Works, but I have to be there to use it.

Running your propane heater does not create carbon DIOXIDE, it creates carbon MONOXIDE.
Temps down in the 50's shouldn't hurt, it may slow growth, but I didn't notice any low temp damage until I had a week solid of high 30/ low 40's at night.

yeah i think i can agree... anything south of about 45 F and your looking at some sort of problem. cold = dry usually too. and its harder for the plant to use N properly usually. plus a big swing in temps from one extreme to the next seems to always cause issues...

No, it doesn't. Why post if you don't know at all what your talking about? It makes me worry about the quality of replies in general.

Fire in general creates carbon dioxide. Carbon monoxide is created from incomplete combustion - but when your burning natural gas, propane, kerosene, ect. the amounts are so low they don't really matter.

Also, plants are supposed to like carbon monoxide and convert it into oxygen - it'd be pretty damn hard to get the levels high enough to kill you.

You know that co2 generators generally burn natural gas or propane, right? http://www.saferwholesale.com/CO2-Generator-Hydroponic-Natural-Gas-Propane-8-Bu-p/xdc-360488632544.htm?Click=35179&gclid=CPPH5tf89rQCFVCd4AodO2kA0w

Yeah, just sucks because bad info can cost people a lot of money. Everyone is going to be wrong now and then, but it seems like some people just post what they assume is right, or what they've heard before.
