Am I Color Blind? Please Help Me Figure This Out.

Ok, this is my first grow and first day on this site. Thanks for your help and feedback. I want to learn how to improve with each grow.

First three photos taken with HPS light on. Last 4 photos light shut off. Now I don't know if things are really wrong or if it was the color of the HPS throwing my camera off? What do you think?

I see the tips are burnt with the HPS light shut off. Is that too much food?

With the light on, the leaves appeared lime green to yellow on all 4 plants since about 3 weeks into veg. I was using a MH bulb through veg period. Since, flowering I only see the plants under the HPS light.

So here is what's happening...

Germinated seeds on 12/16. I completed a 4 week veg cycle at 24/0 and flowering is 12/12. I'm currently in the 3rd week bloom.

I'm using organic soil and transitioning (per the bottle instructions at this period of bloom, I'm using the recommended ratio of both Roots Organics Grow and Bloom. I will be lessening the amount of Grow further at the next feeding per Bloom bottle instructions. I spin the containers 90 degrees every day and rotate position every water or feeding.

Ph in 6.0 out 6.5. Alternate feedings and water about every 5-6 days in 3 gal pots. I overflow the water and feed by 20% into the pans and remove excess. I'm using a 400 HPS with cool tube hood and inline exhaust to Phresh filter in attic. Cool air intake comes from my home office at 70 degrees. Room temps are 82-67. Water is tap at 6.5 ph (before adding nutrients) and I let water sit for 3 days or more before use. Humidity is at 40% and I have a small fan pointed at the conopy. Thesmall fan shuts off with the light but the exhaust stays on 24-7.

I have had just a few yellow fan leaves appear at the mid to lower part of plant since 4th week of veg. I remove them when they get crispy but most is coming from lower portion of plants. I have added a foliar Iron spray 5 days ago. I did see a green up of the entire test plant. Take a look at the photos and any advice would be appreciated on anything I can do on this first grow. I see a lot greener plants on this site.

My friend and I both have vapes and use a total of about 1/4 oz every couple months. You can laugh now. So, I'm thinking these four plants should keep me stocked for awhile. What's a good gram production goal for a newb with this setup? Probably anything over zero and try not to kill them right!

On my next grow, should I reduce the number of plants to two? It's not too much extra work to do four or six. I'm wondering, based on my setup, am I better off going less plants and letting them veg longer and trim them?

Thanks again for the advice.

Two Serious Seeds AK47 Sativa, other two are G13 Labs Pineapple Express Indica & Sativa. Both with a 8-14 week photoperiod. Thanks for the feedback on flushing!

I won't give you any advice because there are others here much more qualified than I. However, if you and your friend only smoke 1/4 every couple of months, I think you qualify as a nonsmoker. How do you manage on so little?

I'm cheap, I guess. And I tend to skirt the high. In other words, I take in just a little so I can still function as a Dad, husband, son, and business owner. I'm an A-type driven nut that needs a hobby...the grow was born. Once a day I vape late afternoons or evening 2-4 long draws on the whip. Pretty much does it for me. I don't plant on the sofa or gorge in the fridge. I know I will increase my use with a large supply of my own stash. I'm excited about all the other uses for my mj.

The most important reason to grow is the benefit of knowing exactly what I'm putting into my body. High quality organic herb that received the attention it deserves. Yeah, I'm just high!

a flush and restarting the solution in the bucket will help. shouldnt have to do that with organics though..doesnt make sense.

these guys flush like every week of flower lmao. or else the plant burns from the salt. but not with pure water they use a 1.1 e.c. solution to stop the shock from jumping from 1.8 to 0.

syenthic and hydro. you can do organic and hydro too, but this company sent me a bag of soil. it smells amazing its like 50% moss

i was gonna try coco hydro for my masterkush (skunk and kush) but fuck it.

really like how your plant looks fix her up!

Sounds like you have a pretty good routine going there.
Can you give another pic like #5, but more of the affected lower leaves?
What you say you're feeding is only 2.5-7.1-.75 according to the website, so my first thought is your plants are hungry.
That's not a lot when you're flowering, especially if you're only feeding once a week.

I will work on getting more photos from the bottom of plant. I saw overall green up from the foliar iron I sprayed just 48 hours ago. I think they are hungry.

Feeding them more often:

The pots are three gal and take forever for to dry out. So, should I mix up the nutes in a two gal container and spread evenly among the four plants? or just feed until 20% run off like usual? Watering wet soil sounds like a bad idea?

I did a couple days ago on my test plant. Sprayed 2-3 specific fan leaves to see if they would green. Reporting those results today. I fed the iron through the roots over the last 48 hours and it is greening up.

Here are some pics of the lower yellow leaves on the pineapple express. I get these big fan leaves that yellow every now and then. I'm running a 400w HPS.

Today is start of week 4 flower. The front two are the AK47 Serious Seeds and the back to are my Pineapple Express G13 Labs all germinated on 12/16. I am starting to see frosty leaves and buds over the last couple days and buds are putting on some size now. Really no problems to report except the two to three yellow leaves that pop up on the plant. These were taken with the HPS light on. The close up is the AK47.
