I was thinking about your individual SCROG idea building off the tomato cages and you could just get some string or plastic strips and tie/tape it off going across in a uniform pattern....pretty cheap and easy...

Hello RIU'ers!
Wow, thank you for all the love! Im real happy with how this grow is turning out! I now to have keep the carbon filter running 24 hours don't want the neighbors to start smelling these sexy ladies or me gliding thru the apartments with my red eyes and stinky aura.
I'm really not doing anything in the flowering tent just watering when they need it and randomly tying up weaker branches. Lately I've been searching around RIU for info about how to Harvest and dry exactly. And advice on "the big day" is greatly appreciated also I would love to see some of you guys "Drying setups".
In the veg tent I topped 2-Kush'n'Cheese 1-Cataract Kush and 1-Gigabud I'm going to try the "Uncle Bens topping technique" See if I can get some nice 4 cola's I will also leave some growing "wild" and see what floats my boat in the end.
I'm real excited to go see the Medcancup this weekend hope I can get some info and maybe some seeds would like to buy some that are not through an "Attitude seed banks of choice".
Right now the lights are off and I'm real medicated but I would guess around 3 feet give or take.

12/10/2012 - I took some quick measurements to see how much are they going to really stretch after flipping.
Cannalope Kush 16inches
Kosher Kush 14inches avg.
OG-Kush 12inches
So they pretty much stretched x2-x2.5 once 12/12. I didn't have any pre-flowers prior to flipping.

Yeah you are right they are still pretty green they are staying at least one more week but who knows I'm in no rush to be honest. I have no clue about my yield, I've taken the "Expect the worse, hope for the best" approach so I never even thought about Yield. So... I have no clue really about what to expect.

Yeah, I'm going to lay off SCROG until I learn more. Can't even imagine not being able to move around my plants... getting claustrophobic just thinking about it haha.
Foxtailing! Just learned that word thank you! I don't know I need to be careful in my next grow I couldn't get rid of the claw this time but I don't understand the biggest bud in the whole crop I think is the bud with the claw! I've read that the claw is normally due to excessive Nitrogen in your plants I thoroughly flushed them and stayed low on the (N) but didn't help.

Hahaha walking around the house smelling my fingers is just not cutting it anymore!
Thank you once again I'm real happy you guys stuck along I don't think this grow would of worked out as well if I wouldn't of logged/posted on RIU. Its funny I now see RIU almost as something indispensable for growing as of right now.

Get a drying rack/ bag for drying. If you can dry in same tent growing in , just kill light, depending on heat and temps and of course density of material, expect to dry enough to put in jars for final curing in 3-7 days...of course you shouhl remove large wooden pieces nad trim before jarring. Think about purchasing Hydrometer for jars. big jars...

Man... I am so excited about the cannalope kush, what a great freebie. It smells REAL REAL sweet, and its been producing a crazy amount of descent sized colas on the top you should totally give it a try! "I hope the Sour Kush doesn't herm out on you that always sucks penis.

Kosher Looks really good bro. Can you do a yield test for me? Could you record the yield of your untopped Kosher v.s. a topped one? I think that would be some nice information to know. Especially if we have the room to grow untrained plants. I would imagine if you kept a single cola'd plant very well trimmed it could compete up against a 4 or possibly 8 topped plant. Keep it in mind, I think it could be beneficial to you on your next grow.

400 is all you need. Flip in 3 weeks and in 2 months you have heaven. I have a 4'x3' and was worried too about plant height before flipping,,, I see now I could have waited another week - 10 days. I flipped in two weeks .just read the whole thread and im looking forward to seeing the flowering process!
I just purchased a 4x4 myself but only have a 400w HPS
Time to upgrade soon i think!

hell yeah, i've also got a og18 freebee and White Fire seeds thats competing in this mix to
she sounds real nice props on a good find, hope you kept clones.yes hermies suck but its always a possibility you know. i tried sour d from seed a couple years ago and got nothin but herms/males. but the breeder was nowhere near as reputable as RP, i think that sour diesel is prone to herming sadly. we'll see.
i smoked some sour kush over the summer, 1 of the best of the different og flavors ive tried. wonderful blend of earthy, lemon thai, sour d in one package.
any of that sour/chemical/fuel funk coming off of her? that og18 is so sour it could curdle milk.

Of course there a lot of Variables in weight and all but I can already tell you:
Yield per plant "speculation"
1.- Cannalope Kush "The easiest buds to trim, biggest yielding and densest buds also the tallest plant"
2.- Kosher Kush topped "No huge cola's but a nice amount of mid sized nugs relatively easy to manicure"
3.- Kosher Kush un-topped "Will never recommend letting Koshers grow wild"
4.- Og-Kush "The best smelling one truly just amazing smell but extremely leafy bud so I got a lot of trim and not much bud she was also the shortest of the ladies"
