I went to TGA and they gave me a nug of Vortex which was very cool of them. But they didn't have anything else to try. I asked if they had anything we could see or try before I buy seeds (I brought money, too!) and he (the random employee, not Subcool) gave me a nug of Vortex and said that's all we have. Sub was gracious and in a good mood, but I never got a chance to get close enough to say hi. He was super busy with all the customers and old friends and industry people who kept coming over to say hello. I have to say though, none of it lived up to his hype about smoking everyone out and dabs and hits and all that. There were a half dozen people, including that Frenchy guy taking dabs that glared at me as I tried to sit down and join them, so I left. The best dab/hit I had was at the Crown Extracts booth. Now that was a monster dab! After all the talk about smoking the weed nerds out, I was pretty disappointed with TGA.
Most of the vendors didn't want to talk to you until after you bought something. Crap beer and food, too. You would think that a stoner convention would have better food. Oh well. I left early because I was bored. Had I not gone alone I probably would have stayed longer. If I was a hot chick I would have gotten free stuff all day long! I would have paid 10 bucks for it, maybe 15 and called it worth it. At 40 bucks it's a rip off.
My advice for anyone thinking of going: Bring company, and don't expect much.
