Dark and Light Spots - Not looking Great for my baby

Hi Guys,

I've made a post in my journal thread about this problem but thought I'd get a better chance of helping my plants by posting a new thread here too.

Here are the pics of the plant:

View attachment 2533890

Details of the grow:

Strain: Fem Swiss Cheese from Nirvana.
Plant Age: 11 days from seed
Room size: 60cm X 60cm X60cm
Medium: Coco / Perlite Mix 70/30 (currently in 11l pots)
Lights: 7 spectrum 120w Prakasa LED light & 125w 6400k cfl
1 6" fan inside the room for air circulation
1 6" fan outside of room to bring air inside
1 120mm pc fan as an exhasut (I've got a rvk fan and rhino filter in the post to me)
Temps @ Lights on hover around 25-28
Temps @ Lights off hover around 21-24
Nutrients: The ONLY thing I've used so far is jungle juice "grow" (I'm not sure if this is my problem? I've ordered some JJ micro and bloom as well as some AN cal-mg as I've read they need this when growing in coco and not using coco specific nutes).

Feeding:
I gave them their very first feed when they were 7 days old and in their 11l pots. I mixed 10l of water with 2ml of JJ "grow" and ph'd the water to 5.8. I gave the plant around 2l of water and then let them drain for around 15mins, the run-off ph'd at 6.1 (I have an EC pen in the post so unsure of ec reading currently).

They got their second feeding when they were 10 days old using the exact same mix. PH was same as before.

So where do you pros think I've gone wrong?

Any help / suggestions to rectify this would be greatly appreciated.

I've got a link to my journal in my sig if that helps some.

dude don't use any nutes yet! too damn early.. that's your problem
Really? This goes against most of what I have read about growing in coco.
Your are correct Ice. Coco only amended with perlite offers almost no nutritional benefits to the plant, you need to feed them from the start. Or next grow add some worm castings to your mix. Then your good to go for a bit. In my opinion they are just hungry. Up their food a bit at a time and I bet they will be fine. The dark color you see is purpling from being nitrogen deficient.....a water soluble source of N like blood meal mixed(start 1/2 tsp per gallon) with your drench would do them wonders I bet. I am not familiar with jungle juice but do know its organic and your simple mix may not contain the bennies needed to process it so the plant can feed on it. A worm casting tea would benefit the plants and the medium.

You might want to drop Jondamon a PM if he dosent see your post and stop by on his own. He is the man to get you heading in the right direction.

I grow hydro and my starters/medium has no nutrients. I let mine go for 2 weeks with just a few waterings and they stayed green and luscious. They should always get to the 2 week mark with absolutely no nutrients. Usually if a strain starts to yellow in less than 2 weeks the leaves turn basically neon green. No twisted growth or almost burned edges.

I always do my best to help and figure out the root of the problem
I've never grown in coco but I thought the rule for hydro mediums was to soak for 3 days , with a wash at the beginning and then adjusting the ph as it changes. I believe some coco is prewashed and treated. Try maybe taking a drill bit and putting a bunch of small holes on the bottom of a 5 gal and using it at a strainer, then put it into your ph adjusted water. Then you would prolly switch to fresh water and re ph it then add nutes . Maybe throw on an airstone to prevent the water from becoming stagnant. As far as nutes go though id think tap water would make a healthier plant than this one so that makes me think it's either overdose or a ph issue of sorts

I'm using regular tap water.

Thanks for all the advice guys I really appreciate it. I agree and think I need to make a much better mix of nutrients, since all I was using was jungle juice "grow" it didn't have any of the other nutrients found in the micro and bloom 3 part formula.
They are on their way to me as we speak along with my ec pen so I should be able to get some readings and sort my mess out by tomorrow / friday latest. I just hope they survive that long :)

Alexander: Thank you for confirming I wasn't going mad about giving nutes much earlier.
