My runoff PH is 4.5?! Just an update. I've been talking about it for a while...
I too have had this happen; I watered the plants back to back 1 week apart after the soil dried out trying to raise the PH. First time,I watered with PH of 8, run off was 5.7 so next time I watered with PH of 8 and run off was like 5.4, I too was like “what the fuck” and still to this day, I don’t know why that happened to me also. I wish someone could really give a definite answer to why this happens.

Your plant is doing great; you have nothing to worry about,YET! Just kidding man, and all those hairs are a good thing, there pussy hairs.lol

i think that brown stuff is rot man, i get some clones that do that from time to time due to too much water, let them rapid rooters dry out a bit and no need to let them sit in stag water, this just creates lots of problems. if your looking to increase the humidity in your propogator then a small tupperware container with some water in it will do the trick as long as none of the vents are open.

Well... I mean. Does rot foretell of a clone not rooting? It's been 8 days and nothing. I usually see roots by the 7th day. I mean she hasn't started to droop yet that's a good sign I think and she is also a cutting from that was a "topping" and I've heard they root but it takes a bit longer so I'm just gonnna hold out. Until it dies. And if it does I get to reuse the cube!! LOL I just cut 4 more clones and planted 5 seeds I'M GOING FUCKIN CRAZAAAAY!! lol But seriously. I feel like I have a bunch of em going right now for me at least lol!

in time man you will get to where you want to be with your grow....when i started i harvest 2 plants under a 1000w light...a bit over kill but now 3-4 months later i have that room filled up and my cloning is doing decent. just takes time and patience m8....gl with that clone.

Lost a seed today. I'm an idiot. I've got to learn to balance my TLC with my patients (not much there). I was checking out my seed/clone box for roots n leaves n shit and I saw leaves but right in between the little leaves was a root tip so I pulled the little lady out and when I was trying to insert the hook shaped root into the hole that it came from i managed to pull the leaves off of it so yea.. I killed it and I'm so frustrate. BRAWR! Still no roots on my clone and it's been 10 days. I feel so "ragey" it makes me sad that I feel this way.

man i tried so many methods of cloning so far and nothing seemed to work. 2 different aerocloners, jiffy peat pellets, rockwool and now onto rapid rooters, have also tried straight dirt and plain water....so far the rapid rooter plugs are doing alright....

Yea I'm using RRs too. I've got about 50% success. I pulled the cutting that's been there for 10 days. It hadn't even tried to make roots so I said fuck it and flushed it. But I got 4 more in there and I'm trying a little diff approach. On day 4 I'm gonna start doing a 20/4 light cycle. Someone told me that would help promote root growth. I also don't keep them in a humidity dome. I mean I'm gonna get it eventually.

I only made one clone.. and it was big success. But I took a clone off the bottom of the plant. I read somewhere that the bottom branches revert to rooting much quicker than the top.

Yea I read that too and I believe it can be done with a top BUT I don't want to wait 3 weeks for it to root and it was rotting on the stems they were getting blacker and blacker the leaves were still perky and green but I just think the growth would have been effected if I were to let it root. So we shall see if these other ones do the trick.

Another thing I read about cloning and followed, was to immediately put the cutting in water.

Slice, straight into cup of water. Keep there until ready to stick into clone powder/gel.

Don't want air to get into the stem.

humidity dome is a worthwhile investment. this way you can let the RR plugs dry almost completly out and the leaves can still pull in moisture from the air. i found my plugs dried out a little more than i wanted them and it seemed not too long after they dried out i had roots growing through the plug. someone else told me to let them dry out a bit so i followed thier recomendation and it seemed to work. just cant do it without 100% humidity because the plant will dehydrate..

i have thrown out over 75 cuttings in the past year and 1/2 trying to get this shit right. one of these days ill have it nice and dialed in, my last attempt was about 80% sucess so im happy with that. just keep on keeping on man and eventually you will find a syste, that works..

like i said earlier i built 2 different aeroponic cloners because they seem to be all the rage "cant go wrong" and "best cloning system" said the critics....but my dumb ass had like 10% sucess and then 50% sucess after i put in dirt (out of the 10% that rooted 50% of them died after i planted them :( )

Damn. Everyone talks about success after a wilt and then they go on to say if they never wilt it's a sure thing... yea fuckin right. The only one that wilted died and all the rest are perky as fuck. They just don't wanna root. I'm letting mine get a lot more dry this time around.

humidity dome and wilt will no longer happen.

this is how i did my last batch

1ml clonex solution
1ml super thrive
1ml bio root organic root stimulator
added this to around 250 ml of water

cut the cuttings and put them in the water solution and let them sit for at least 5 min to absorb some of the solution.

after they came out of the solution i dipped in a rooting GEL and then into the rapid rooter plugs. once al my clones were taken i watered all the plugs with the solution, put the dome on and placed them on a heating pad, left one of the smaller vents open with a fan blowing at it but not directly in it.

with the fan on they dried out fast so i was adding water every day. never misted them just added more water when they were dry, usually around 16 ounces of water (used a water bottle)

lost a couple clones to dehydration but everything else has pulled through so far,

not saying this is the best method or that its tried and true as this is my first time having sucess with clones in a while. i also chaged the location of the propogator from the cold basement to my warm veg tent so that may have helped some as well. i also think the super thriveplayed a good role in the sucess. i bought a small bottle of superthrive and i dont notice a huge difference in my plants but i did use it when i had to trim some root balls on some of my plants to get them to fit into the smart pots from the 3 gal grow bags. and they never showed any signs of stress.

Wow. Yea I've been using super thrive on my flowering plants. every third watering. I'll give that a shot next time around if this does not work. I'm using a rooting powder at the moment.
